Nyka couldn't have given better advice, dude. If I'm in LA at night going to a party or a club or something, I'm always careful to keep a neutral composure wherever I go. No eye contact, no loud behavior, just keep shit to myself you know, play it cool. There are certain people you just have to avoid even if you have a small suspicion about them.
Bums are a prime example...Some of them are harmless, and like to find someone they can babble to or ask for some change, but some others are f*****g insane and like to invade your personal space. Also, I generally try to avoid drunk people that are in an emotional clusterfuck, crazy shit tends to go down when they're around. In those cases you have to be prepared to do something. It's a f****d up world, sometimes crazy shit happens..

I was just the ignorant person who thought I could help them with whatever question they were asking me (i didnt hear quite clear what they were saying). Turned around and replied.
Im the asshole who think that these guys might have been lost and asking for directions or something.
Because I think that if someone asks you, whoever it is, you should at least try to help, maybe he asked for directions, maybe he was lost, maybe he had just been stabbed (although that agruement is kidna odd as he was with 7 orso "friends" i dunno). fuck it, its in my nature to help people, because whenever im in trouble i would like to get some help myself. Call me ignorant because these guys might be a threat to me. But maybe, just maybe (im not sure) the 10th time unfamilliar guy or girl asks me something, they might just really need me.
And yea, just because i studied a martial art in the past, and picking up slightly again these days, mean i should open myself to use force?
Martial arts are to be used only when its really necessary. I could beat up the punk, and maybe his friend too, but in the end i WILL GET FUCKED by the system. I could say he attacked me, and his friend too, but 6 others will say i started attacking them, and that im insane and mentally disturbed and just plain lost it.
Of course the cops are gonna know i really wouldnt attack a group of 8 guys, but everybody is equall and 8 guys always > 1 guy in this democratic system.
I didnt stood a chance in any way.

If all else fails , be a b***h and carry a can of mace. can take down 8 guys if you are the one with the mace. If i got my ass kicked 3 times a year i think id start to carry some sort of protection. maybe a stun gun ? bet thy back off after they watch you fry the shit out of one of their friends . or maybe they get made , take it from you and fry your ass : )

The mace seems like a good idea in theory but I mean it's not like he can conveniently conceal his can of mace in his purse like a woman trying to avoid getting raped...

I have experience with the Turks from Germany. They dont fight fair, and you can be almost 100% sure they have knives on them, even in clubs and such that search for weapons. I had run-ins with them all the time at the club, they would mess with the guys from the base that weren't that big. I could usually go back them down, only got into it once, where they didn't and about got stabbed (someone saw the guy with the knife and grabbed him up). So make sure to watch for a knife if you have dealings with them again, even solo if you try for some revenge.
If stun guns or pepper spray aren't illegal you could follow one of them, stun gun his ass or pepper spray him and kick the shit out of him. I wouldn't walk by the bar after that though lol. If most of your trouble consists of groups of Turks, I would keep a eye out for them and try to avoid putting yourself in a big situation, such as walking by and having your back to them. Sucks to have to have your guard up all the time, but the world isn't a pretty place a lot of the time.
The common phrase in the US that lets you know your about to get your ass jumped is, "Hey, do you know what time it is?" I would atleast suggest carrying pepper spray or something, if you dont want to retaliate or get revenge. It should help you enough to get out of there if you want to keep the Ghandi theme going.

A stun gun would work better than pepper spray. I have a 300,000 volt one in my truck. A zap with that will put a grown man on his ass p*****g and s******g himself trying to crawl under a car to get away from you. I never used it personaly but just hitting the button scares me.
I am waiting for the hot summer night when someone gets on the step of my truck when I am at a light or a stop in these s****y urban areas I have to load and deliver from. They are going to get off the truck faster then they got on I guarantee that.

This is good advice, most of the time people don't just punch somebody who walks past them. They baited you into a response, just so they could belt you. I would also be sure to have at least one person with you when possible too.
