sup,
I was thinking about getting a semi-new S-10 Blazer 2 door in black, but I decided to come on here to see what kind of cars everyone is driving and what you think of them.
my price range is under 10 grand so I'm buying semi-used.

Doesn't suck. Its an affordable, reliable, **** sports car. It isn't a Ferrari.
You want them to make the Mustang's interior out of platinum or woodgrain?

Wood would be a nice touch actually. They did a great job on the look unlike the new Charger. It really needs a Boss 302 option though.

Then you start to get away from one of the most attractive things about a Mustang, its affordability.

Well you've started off with the most important thing: Your budget. Now what do you want out of a vehicle? Do you want to impress the womens or do you want something you can work on or something to tow a boat or what?
Personally as I've stated before I drive a 96 VW Jetta, I love the car but it IS a maintenance nightmare, fortunately I'm mechanically inclined to the point where I can fix most of my own issues without having to go to a dealership.
Look for something with a warranty (such as a certified pre-owned).
If you go to a dealership and are financing be ready to walk the f**k away from the table. I've had to do that more then a few times because of j*****s salesfags. Know what you have to spend, what you want out of the vehicle and go from there .. I think thats the most solid advice I could give you =)

Well, I'm looking for a good car for college pretty much. It would be nice if it could tow but I have availability to my dads truck whenever I need it so whatever.
I'm actually looking at a newer Jetta, also. My first car was an 89' Jetta and I really liked everything except maintenance.
I'm going to check out some newer Jetta tomarrow.

get something that is cheap on gas and front wheel/4x4 if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow. DOn't spend a lot of money, because I doubt the car will survive college, most cars don't!

I have an '00 Jetta VR6, it's nice but once something goes wrong with the engine, the problems never stop.

Got my 97 cobra for 10k, he should be able to pick up a nice used hot rod, just make sure you check the records and have it inspected.

Assuming they'd insure him to begin with, he'd end up spending more on that than car itself.

Liability for me when I was 17 in my 85 Trans Am was $90/month. That was with 1 speeding ticket on my record.

I get the impression he's looking for something a bit newer than that, though.

I love VW's. Have had GTI's, but now Cabrio (yeah, I know it's a girlie car). I like their certified pre-owned program. I'm going GTI once I decide to sell the convertible. That won't be for awhile though.
