When I worked for Sega, we had seen it happen with the old Game Gear systems often.
When they were sent in, they went to the scrap truck, and a new one was sent in return.

I'm fairly certain Sega is incredibly angry. Angry.

hell if I know. I left right before they closed all their buildings and consolidated into the one redwood shores building. I knew it was going downhill when they started switching good employees for temps that didnt care about their job.
Then their "game testing" involved putting a master copy into a machine and matching other cartridges too it. Too bad that some of the master copies were bad. Seen a hell of a lot of Montana 95, nbalive95, and dion sanders coming back, only to be retested against the same cartridge and sent back out.
Was funnny when they were doing inventory. A common phrase was "we have too many xxx systems. Wrap them in black plastic to hide it and load on the scrap truck."
and could you possibly imagine, they ran out of money to keep these places open...

damn, guess i should fish out the old adaptor and old game boy. damn you ff2!
my son got all excited about beating some tough boss guy and went running from the dinning room to the living room to show his brother who was on the couch reading.
well he hit the edge of the living room carpet weird and whiped out and as he fell the game boy slipped outta his hands and thats when the screen fekked up
luckily he could save and use his brothers to finish what he was doing, but he was still pretty upset.
maybe 4 is too young for one.

he started reading at 3. his brother is ten and well, even though alex is only 4, i think he has the mentality of a ten year old.
im glad hes so smart though! they werent going to let him into school this year because his bday falls after the dec 8th cut off date.
but, because hes so smart and can read, write a few words, write most of his letters correctly, can spell and write his name, count to twenty, count to ten in french ect ect... well ya they think hes pretty ready for school and are allowing it.
hes pretty funny too, great sense of humour and talks to you like hes an adult, i really dont think he sees himself as a child. he most certainly doesnt talk like one.
how many kids spin around with their arms out to get dizzy... pretty much every kid ever born right?
how many call it revolving instead of saying spinning? lol
ok this has turned into a huge brag fest, sorry im a proud mommy.

actually my son nicks bday is in july i was thinking of buying him a new thing and alex can inherit nicks old one.
i havent looked into the new ones will check out the gb micro and maybe hold off for that. hes gonna be 11 so hes more responsible and careful with his, so getting him a new version and passing down the old gba seems like a good choice.
tam, thanks for the advice! knowing meddyk though he will probly want to open it and try to fix it haha, men! it will probly end up in a box of spare electronic parts, pieces, gadgets, gizzos, and dohickies lol!

I wasn't saying he was a destructive kid. I was just saying it might be a good idea to see if they do have those casing things. Could prevent a future accident

I started doing crap like reading at age 4 and chatting up my uncles about science and current events instead of playing hide and go seek. It's great to be the "mature, smart kid" until you start socializing with kids your own age. Invest heavily in things for him to do by himself or with a very small social circle of people who understand him, because it's going to be an awkward ride, take it from me.

Do him right, and beat correct posture into him. Wish my mom had, i look like i have scoliosis. And be sure he is holding the paper-book at arms length, or he will train his eyes to be near-sighted and be wearing the cokebottle-bottom glasses that currently grace my aching nose.

thanks.
he actually has 4 friends currently very small group the youngest is 7 the oldest is 12, the other and his brother are 10.
he is more and home and comforable around older kids or adults and im really worried about how hes going to handle kindergarten this year.
he went to meet our new doctor today and get his immunization needles. the doctor was flabergasted at how old my son seems to be compaired to his age. he was most impressed with how he was communicating with him on a very adult level.
he didnt cry when he got either shot, he just said 'ow' and 'that stings a bit' for the one. then he shook the doctors hand and said thank you to him hehe.
anyway ya, im bragging again lol.
alex has really great posture when he does sit but hes usually go go go! my oldest nick is the one i worry about. hes a book worm and always picks these huge books that are like 600 pages so he sits it on his lap and scrunches himself over to read it.
im constantly correcting him and was thinking of getting my hands on a drafting table and building a lip on it for him to use as a reading desk. will have to see but ya, ill keep on him about sitting up right.
at our dining room table i dont have chairs but custom built benches to match my table. they have no back so they force you to sit up right, but it doesnt work for reading if the books laying flat on the table cause the hes still crankin his neck.
anyway, thank you again for the advice.

Yeah, get him with kids his age. It sucks. I know I end up acting mature around older people who I can identify more with and have a better time with. Then kids my own age I usually say some things that I usually wouldn't.
Of course right now all I do is go hang out with my car friends every Saturday and most of them are 22+ and here I am at 17 years of age.
