I don't think you have changed much necesarily Paden.
I think it's your stubborn refusal to go away after all the abuse you got, got you the acceptance of everyone here.
Or maybe it was resignation rather than acceptance. 
Fact is people stopped abusing you so much, and in return your attitude changed and you mellowed out a bit.
