I got a few question as to HOW a scammer can scam over and over and over and get away with it?
Ok I my self just got scamed yesturday. I have my account back and everything in order so that is all good. How ever im still p****d (obveusly).
I made the deal take about 4-6 days from when he was interested to when i sold the account to him. Assuming that if his paypal was stolen it would be reported by that time.
I wake up today and see that the payment was unautherized. Not only was it unautherized it was alrdy taken BACK from me and completed as such. I had no time to even fight this. From when i went to sleep at 2am to when i woke up at 9am.
So anyways I call paypal. They basicly tell me that somone stole his paypal and it wasnt the paypal owner who bought my item. I tell him that I made the buyer wait 4-6 days.
So anyways sorry for rambling but this really p****s me off. How can somone STEAL a paypal account for 6 days and then only get detected as stolen 2-5 hours after he pays me.
To me it means that the account was not stolen and it was infact the rightfull owner who just simply reported the account as stolen.
Also this same person has scamed (at least) one other person on this site as on my trade he posted that he was scamed by this guy. Obveusly it was to late at this point since the trade alrdy went.
Sigh I just dont understand how somone can get away with this flawlessly it doesnt make sence. Obveusly if you claimed to have your account stolen alot of times it would be suspicous (I HOPE).
Doesnt paypal keep track of this sort of thing? Like how many times does the same bank account make a new paypal account???? things like that???
or how many creditcard charge backs does a person do? I just cant amagin claiming my account being stolen 50 times and it being beleavable.
Maybe it really was stolen and im glad the original owner got his money back in this event. I just dont see it.
I dont even see the purpose to this because I have my account back. What did he gain from wasting my time and his.
Anyone know how a scammer can do this? How he can evade the system and continusly scam people over and over again???

Most scamers that use the paypal loopholes would just resell or retrade your account, while you may have your account back there is nothing to say he did not get something out of it.
Best way I have found to do Paypal is tell them you will send the SQA/Last name to his paypal resistered home address via registered mail. That was you have tracking and he cannot claim unauthorized access.
Also ask for a land line number and use 411 reverse lookup on it, see if its a match for the paypal addy.
Google thier user name and aim/msn, you would be surprised at the amount of info you can find.
Then depending on rep/feeling do the email change before/after the package has been signed for.
If they are legit they should have no problem with this.
90% of scammers would say no thanks.

Heres a fine point for the pencil...your scamming by selling your game account
Funny how it works out.
Paypal is a service for dumb people , period. It is a non-regulated service and therefore does not have to fall under certain laws and regulations used to prevent fraud.
Stop using it
