The only place I've ever enjoyed exp grinding was in my early 20's in Infested Paw (or split paw or whatever). I think that was the first time I had really experienced a range of caster and melee mobs. Prior to that, battles were pretty straight forward... everybody kill this thing. But, that dungeon actually required some unique (at the time) tactics. When you've never had to deal with a warrior mob, a rogue mob, a wizard mob and an enchanter mob at the same time before, it can be quite entertaining. The fun I experienced by getting charmed for the first time and killing my own party has yet to be equaled.
When you can get experience and learn tactics at the same time, you just have much more fun.
Other than that, I have hated exp camps with a passion (with one exception). The main reason is that you end up with 5 strangers with varying levels of skill and varying levels of interest. Half the time the people in the group are AFK and the other half are not paying attention.
The exception to my hatred of exp camps is duoing with a Shaman or SK (or trioing with both) in PoJ. It's one of the few places where it's easy to pull single mobs, kill them quickly and then move on to the next mob. It's also a place where Rogues can assassinate 75% of the mobs (on certain hallways) and still get good experience. The only reason that is fun is because of the massive amount of experience that you can get in a short period of time. 1AA every 2-3 hours was typical. Of course, once you hit 61st lvl you get next to no exp there (but maybe Sony will change that soon.)

10-20 Don't really remember, think I did Oasis early and High Pass late teens? And Crushbone!
20-30 Pre-kunark it was HHK. Post Kunark - Dalnir (Still my favorite zone ever)
30 - 40 Don't remember what I did Pre-kunark, Post it was Overthere soloing then some soloing in DL?
40 - 50 SolB/LGuk
50 - 60 Did 50 - 53 in Seb, Velious went live, did 53-57 in CS quadding. Stopped xping for like 6 months, Luclin went live, did 57-60 in 3 days quadding Katta guards.

50-60 - KC captain pharm 4 life. Seb for 55+
For AA's, I duoed (sometimes trioed) with Namdrah and, on occassion Swampo, in KC Basement for a whopping 2 AA a day. Many a vp key pieces rotted in the process. We used to shout out to zone while we were destroying the quest piece, just to p**s the newbs off. Not to mention intentionally training the entire zone (and I mean every mob in the zone), to zone out, then popping whirlwind and dropping it all owned.

past : innothule swamp! best newbie zone ever, you never run out of frogs, shrooms and kobolds! 
now : Warrens
10-20
past: 10 to 12 sothern ro, 13 to 15 upper guk, 15+ highpass hold
now: till 15 still warrens then paludal caverns (or however its spelled)
20-30
past: till 25 southern karans, 25+ cazic thule (CT owend highkeep " 9 people on the list" camps)
now: caverns till 25, then mistmoore or outside CT
30-40
past: till 35/38 still cazic, then solb or my favorite: Lower guk, yeah!
now: till 34/35 still mm or caverns, then CoM
40-50
past: lower guk, lower guk and more lower guk
now: would still go to solb or lower guk, but not sure how difficult its is to find a group there these days

This is how i did it...
1-10 G fay then at around 4 id kill those damn pixies in lfay
11-20 lfay bandits till 12, then sirens in oot till 16, after that id do unrest till 20
20-30 HHK all the way ^_^
30-40 old CT then guk at 35
35-50 Guk and a little SFs in oot at the end
50-52 Karnors!
52-60 Seb/Velks
60-65 PoN untill 61, then i went to PoV till 64, got 65 soloing in BoT/PoTac

21-40: Upper Guk, Frontier mountains, Lguk, Solb.

I like this zone progression for gaining experience:
1-16 Halas
17-24 Oasis
25-30 Warsliks Wood hunting brutes near the dalnir zone
31-40 The Overthere
41-45 Sol Dungeon B
46-60 Chardok(go deep baby)
61-65 Any PoP zone will do. I like to grab a druid or shaman friend, and go hit hedge side in nightmare, or hit them tree frogs in valor with druid friend and a dc small tree frog companion. Or grab a shaman and hit Bastion of Thunder, or grab a cleric/shaman and go duo giants in the desert in Plane of Storms. Lots and lots of places to grab exp.

I hear ya. Sometimes I'll login to PoN just to see like 4 wall groups 5 feet from the graveyard plus a group camping the charmable ravens. Get an eq life, people! God, I was more adventurous when I was level 60 with 0aa than these people are at level 62 with 20!
Wouldn't it be cool if no zone-in in this game was safe? It would be 31,000 people huddled in the nexus shouting for groups.
