I left SWG quite a while ago, I think it was a couple of weeks after NGE came by. I've been playing a number of different MMOs since then, none of them SF-oriented, and I've recently decided to come back to SWG, give it another go. I was actually pleasantly surprised with what they've done to the game, and other than the population problem, I haven't had any major complaints. I think if more of the SWG veterans came back with an open mind, a lot of them would find the game to their liking. Discuss.

Quite possibly, but try bringing that issue up with the "angry mob". Most of those guys left with a chip on their shoulder, many of them actually swearing never to come back, no matter what (as if anyone actually cared!), so it'll take more than a "meh, it's OK" to get them to come back.
