dude I spent $50 on eminem tickets... people spend hundreds on Dave Matthews tickets all the time... BUT THEY DIDN'T SING HOTEL CALIFORNIA... $85's not bad, they play how often? Like never, and soon they'll be dead.

actually it takes about that many times just to practice and get it right ^_^

so when they play it (in public) once a lot more commitment than that went into playing it before.

and i'd have to think if they put that much time and commitment into it then it isn't boring.

anyway

i saw a DVD of the pretty much official live version of hotel california (a concert they did where they performed it, and it is now considered the live version)

it was very .. very good. seeing them actually play it on guitar is better than listening to it. i could imagine that live would be even better.

go have fun =p is 85$ really that much?

They're not that good anymore, have you heard their new stuff? Errr... and they're probably gonna play 4-5 cuts off that cd. Shouldn't have kicked Don Felder out.... but I guess they didn't need their best guitarist anyways. Wink

I saw them in concert like 10 years ago and thought they were pretty good, but the show was basically a greatest hits package on stage. I really hate that... Journey did the same thing to me once. Played 16 or 17 songs, or literally just whatever was on the greatest hits cd. The Eagles didn't even play Take it to the Limit, which is unforgiveable.

I wouldn't spend $85, I'm not sure they're worth half that.

not worth $85 a ticket.

I don't understand why these old ass bands think their worth so much.. they aren't getting better with age.

They have old drug and rehab debts to pay off, that's why :p

They also have legions of fans that are in their what..? thirties? forties?..who have money to burn; who want to relive their lost youth, etc....

'Take it Easy' is old school Eagles.

I actually prefer Henley's solo stuff to most of the Eagles' work, maybe because he was more 80s. At any rate, you gotta love 'Dirty Laundry!'
