I have posted this problem before. I have a problem where randomly doing something the computer will restart. It happens most while playing games. I just bought a new video card and a new hardrive so it's neither of those. I just replaced my 56k card with a different, problem still happend. I took out my sound card and got rid of the drivers, same problem. Microsoft says it's a problem with drivers but that is all they know. I'm tracking the error report (I always get one upon booting up after the error occurs) but you know that shit never gets anywhere.
Thanks for any links or any help, this problem has been going on for over 5 months and I HATE IT.

Yeah...no one here can help you if you don't post at least some system info.

Stats aren't going to help much when we're dealing with random restarts. I can provide stats if someone needs.
I'm gonna get ahold of a fresh stick of ram. I think if it's getting up into those upper memory banks it could force a restart. Maybe?

Yes ram can.
Also your video driver could cause the same thing, hell even your f*****g speakers could do it...heh
also yes, system specs would help..

Speakers are probably the last thing that would do it. The problem has been happening for 3+ months and I just got a new video card, same problem (I already stated this) so it isn't the video card.
Besides the RAM idea, it could only be processor or mobo.

Its simple to check that tho, lol...disconnect speakers and see if problem still exists..
Also, wtf makes you think it would be the last thing that could cause it?
You seem to not know whats causing it heh.
Also what verison of windows are you running?

XP Pro, yes I have the updates.
Checked the speaker - not the problem.

One very possible reason is if you never updated your chipset drivers, update them!
