I went up against a commando tonight. He was a wookiee and caught me off guard, but I kill him.
Later, he killed me. But that's okay, because neither of us are sore losers. He may be rebel scum but he's on my friends list now. 
Of cousre then SWG bugged out on me and I had to /quit since there was no pop up box to select my cloning chamber. I just lay there dead.

The second fight he got me as I was already at 1/2 health (engaging some rebel NPCs).
He had probably been following me for a bit waiting for me to engage something. Kinda lame but at least I had the choice of fleeing or continuing to fight. I decided to let him kill me (ie I chose to stand around and keep fighting the rebel npc and ignore the player). BTW it was neat to see a commando use a flame thrower on me

i saw some commando hit for around 3k with a flamethrower:/ I said wow then while he was reloading i killed him.
