have some songs in wma format. Tried to run though a wma/mp3 converter, but seems the wma's are protected.

Any ideas how to get around it?
Or even a program that will unprotect them?

also you can run the songs through winamp while using one of the sound to wav plugins such as http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=24984 then convert the raw wavs to mp3[/url]

If all else fails the brute force method is to burn them to a CD and them rip them like a you would a store-bought CD.

The point of wma drm is that it limits/prevents burning to a cd.

The real "end-all" solution is audio out -> audio in.

But that takes it out of a digital format and you will lose alot more quality than with other methods.
