I'm really hoping Lucas gets around to tarnishing all the characters.
Let's see...
R2/D2 & C3PO - Laurel and Hardy of the future, who knew?
Ben Kenobi - From kick-ass old man to botch who can't save a person he cares for to save his life. Can't even save his own life, now that I think about it.
Anakin - Original trilogy made this guy out to be baaaad. Now the only thing that's baaaad is his acting. And hair.
Palpatine - Every right-hand man this guy has, from Sythidious to Maul to Dooku to Vader, is a failure. Way to pick 'em, bucko. I used to think he was cool, now I realize he's just a silly old man.
Uncle Owen - Hello, I'm just here as a much-needed original trilogy tie-in because this movie sure doesn't resemble Star Wars at all. I'm also gonna spell out everything as much as I can with the wooden dialogue Lucas gives me!
Aunt Beru - Ah well... I was hoping she didn't put on all that weight until she was older.
Boba Fett - ack don't even get me started. The mystery behind this character is what made him so great. Now he's a lame-ass kid who can't act out of a paper bag either!

I'm hoping to see ghost battles with Obi-Wan and Darth Vader vs. umm, well vs. some bad guy ghosts.
In conclusion, I made out with Anakin's ass because he said he'd teach me a force trick if I did, but I must be doing it wrong because it isn't working.

Such hate!!
I watched the original Star Wars again this past weekend, and even with the damned commercials.....I am still as enamored of it now as I was when I first saw it in 78...
The new movies, even tho they may be visually over the top as compared to the old ones, do not compare in the magic and chemistry between characters..
Even tho some of the acting was poor in the old movies, there was still an excitement and chemistry that was catching. The new movies, well...I didn't feel sparks flying between Anakin and Padme....I like both actors, but they don't click ..
No matter, tho. The Star Wars saga owns....I will continue to pour money into Lucas' hands :p

I'd take Star Trek Insurrection and Nemesis over the two Star Wars prequels anyday of the week, and don't even get me going on how much better LoTR is turning out to be. (hell even Harry Potter is a huge upgrade)
The Star Wars saga did own, and it still does if you totally disregard what Lucas has been up to the past 5 years!

Original Star Wars OWNED!
This new prequal crap does not. I waited in line for the first one and was SADLY dissapointed, I have not yet seen episode II and don't plan to. Lucas will NEVER get another dime of my money for ANY new Star Wars stuff. I will however shell out big money for the box DVD set of the originals
Oh, did anyone see the Star Wars Thanksgiving Special? OMG AWEFUL!! 15 mins of Chewbaca's family grunting at each other WTF?!?!
