I don't like the censorship either, but i don't like caughing up $125 each month even more.

Do you guys have awstats installed? It could show you where the bulk of your bandwidth is coming from. I am guessing images, especially avatars.
My avatar alone uses about 250-500 megs a month in bandwidth from vigormortis.net :O
