I been downloading stuff from torrents and my friend is complaining saying that his shit is lagging because of it.
I really don't see how my upload is set at 10kb a sec and it don't DL but like 90kb a sec I have yet to see it higher.

I'm on my own computer we have a router sharing the same cable.
I know its bandwidth but god damn 1 little download should not lag him. I played BF2 while I was DLing a movie and it was just fine. He jumps on and lags and whines about.

The downloading doesnt matter, the uploading does. Even if it's 2k UL it still makes online games play like shit. He's right, youre a fool.

Depends on your bandwidth. Most cable maxes out around 25kb/s up. Set this around 5 and you should have no problem.
