Plat4PoP was really patient and helpful with me but he won't accept any form of online payment from anyone outside the states. I don't really like money order or western union because that feels to scam and I don't have enough control. It's no problem, we tried to work things out and there wasn't a way to do it. So I'm just looking for pp from another source. No hard feelings and I don't want anything negative here for Plat4Pop at all.
Just need plat and am looking other places.

I wont go into how to scam someone because that is not fair to anyone but I will say if you accept payments from anyone outside the US you can be scammed very easily.
This applies to any online payment place (mostly paypal but any)
Im not saying he is a scammer because I dont think he is Im just saying I wont accept paypal from ANYONE in canada. Platpimp and I have worked through this too.
As much as they would be opened up for scammers by sending a money order / western union, anyone accepting paypal would be opened up even more.

More from the same page:

That is why anyone that buys from me is technically buying a stack of baseball cards that I do not offer refunds on due to fluxuating market conditions.
I have had quite a few people try to charge back on me and even a few that tried to report there credit card as stolen but since I keep prove of delivery Paypal has backed me and declined all chargeback attempts.

Ah, I see thanks for you're time in posting that.
Couldn't you just send the baseball cards and not give the person the plat?

If you buy from a scammer yes, but then you can file Fraud charges with the USPS. Mail Fraud is a felony in the US, something that can haunt you for the rest of your life on a resume.
Mail fraud is not that hard to prove since you would have to put your Verified US address as a return address in order to be covered. So they can track you down, if there are numerous complaints about you then your screwed.

Plat - I realize that you've been burned by people from outside of the U.S. but I was reading your buying pp post and noticed you saying that if someone won't send money order or Western union they're a scammer and that's not true. It's fairly common knowledge that if someone will only ACCEPT those two forms of payment then your probably dealing with a scam seller. It's a difficult situation both ways. I'm not trying to scam anyone, like I've told you I've had a lot of successful transactions - but that doesn't mean anything. I'm just trying to say that your blanket statement about money orders and western union is flawed.

key word = probably
goto PlayerAuctions.com and read the message boards. That is where I got all my info from. Unfortunately there are numerous scammers out there and we must all protect ourselves.
I have had the pleasure of putting one kid in jail for the night (parents were out of town) and closing one guys bank account because the were trying to steal peoples hard earned money, but I have closed over 20 paypal accounts of scammers. I do everything I can to protect myself, I have only been charged back once that succeded, he was from Canada, but have had over 30 attempts.
I learned my leason (small amount thank goodness) and I can only hope that others protect themselves as well.
I would like to re-itterate something, I have never said this person is a scammer and in NO way ever meant to even imply it. I wish nothing but the best of luck to him on his endeavors!

Also if I did that I would be slammed on the boards and my reputation would be ruined. As you can see from my posts I have sold TONS of plat and never had one complaint. I have also bought alot of plat and never had any problems there either.
But your point is valid for a scammer, they could do that and run the risk of being in trouble with the law if they are from the U.S.
