Whats this game like. It appears some of you actually like it.
I think i might get it and then try WOW, EQ2....
Let me know what its like, and how it compares to EQ1 and the content.

Opps i should also point out, that i did play DAOC., I wanted to play a sniper class and do some serious hunting of groups. Does this game have that content? I like the PVP idea just i have never tried it other then chasing down those that killed me in DAOC. I ended up going back to EQ1 when the 2 months where over with.

If you dont mind boring repetitive Pve content to get to higher lvls so that you can actually do the fun stuff then its the game for you.
Grouping atm is pointless. So just solo. Newest patch is supposed to fix this and a few other issues but we will see.
Its basically, attack mob w/ range weapons/magic that is .5 your speed, run away , attack mob again, repeat until dead, repeat that until lvl 40+ when u can actually have some fun.
The pvp is basically the only fun part. But you cant do this until higher lvls because you get karma for killing ppl and getting karma allows you to drop equipment. To work off the karma you have to die(and lose equipment) or kill monsters. You cant really do this to well until higher lvls when u can go to dungeons and work off your karma w/ out ppl around you. Or join a guild and pvp ppl to stay alive like that. A friend swears there is a lot of cool pve content but i dont see it.
Basically join a guild, take over castles, raise a dragon mount, and pvp ppl is all you can look forward too at end game that i see.

So far from reading the responses on NCsofts>linage2 site it sounds more like a "RL>Roleplay enviroment" What i mean, I think ppl need to cool off and understand games like this are going to evolve weither we like it. There is alot of good companies out there that are trying there best to develop games that allow all "cultures the ability to play"
Yes i would like them to be North American played. Due to the simple fact grouping can cause problems with poor communications. Guilds on the other hand probally could deal with this alittle better.
If they perfer to open it up like this i think it creates more problems then we know.
Games like Rogue Spear had major issues with the different play styles that asian's where used to. They did things that we wouldnt do to others. Examples like Ksing, cheating.... etc... Alot of the games i played it ended up being cheated out.
If ppl enjoy that type of game all the power to you. Myself i just like to play a game without it once. EQ I thought had that until ppl started using that spy program. Duping etc..
When i got Diablo, hahah i played it legit for one week and got sick of others cheating so i downloaded all the cheats, and sure enough i had the power to beat them. Yes i even had the power to finally kill the Cheaters. Then one day i figured out other ways to cheat so they couldnt find out how i was doing it. It finally got so bad, if i took one swing my character died LOL
I dont know, maybe i shouldnt worry about it so much and record there names down, then Snipe them out in linage2 until they finally start whining.
Sound like a plan?

Read it took some asian guy like 20 some days to do 70-75 and im sure he only slept like 4 hours a day if that.

sounds just about as fast as 55 -60 was in EQ, and grouping is not pointless, you just have to know where to group, a 9 person group can get better exp than you can soloing if the group is in a dungeon.
