I want to build a small one room apartment in my backyard since i'm bored and in the mood to build something. Anyone know a website that had any sort of design for something like this? I just want like sometihng with one room.

Seriously... go to Home Depot and sign up to take one of their 2 hour seminar workshops. They have different ones.. they have some that are free and some that cost like 100 bucks but are like 4 hours. If you can afford it you should take one.
It's definitely a leg up in terms of basics. If you don't want to hire out or take up some long term training, the Home Depot training seminars are pretty cool. I have gone to a couple.. one was on laying flooring and the other was for small area landscaping. Both were really helpful.
Buy a book along with it and you've got some basics under your belt so that if you do decide to end up hiring out, you don't get treated like a blond bimbo at a mechanic's shop
