Honor system reward item’s rank requirement will now be based on a characters highest lifetime rank rather than the character’s current rank.

So now my guild leader just has to gain one more rank then he can f*****g retire and let others get grand marshal. Everybody and their mother will be running around with grand marshal's sunderer Sad

This is a bad change because bringing item balance to pvp is a horrible thing. I don't know what I would do without my ultimate slayer of +10 destruction while everyone else is fighting with painted sticks.

everyone and their mother won't be a high marshall or a high warlord. Its still only the top top top top top tier. Lets say there are 2 on a server, and it changes every week. After a year thats only 100 people.

This is true, and even on PvP servers I inspect lots of 60's and check their lifetime kills/honor and such, and they are pathetic.

I am also on Alliance, which means alot.

The system is a pile of shit, since the kills for rank are cumulative since you started it means that in a few months any new people to WoW wont ever have any chance to gain any rank.

Rank with items is the worse idea ever, nothing like having your ass kicked by a 10 years old that can play from 7 am until midnight everyday.

Its not even about skill its about how time you can put into it.

There should be 14 levels for PVP with a kind of exp bar, once 14 you get the best stuff making you equal in PVP to others, as for titles, why not go for best PVP kill ratio? kill/deaths?

Also having only a few people with the best items in PVP only make it easier for them to kill others.

Anyway I dont care I wont PVP until they fix that pile of crap.

you can't expect to get a high officer rank without playing, but with a few hours a week you can get into the mid officer ranks as long as you put those few hours in every week.

How else would you reward people who play your game the most?

You reward them by transporting them to a sunny beach!

well..for one, youre getting the "pvp xp bar" next patch. but it does go up or down week to week.

And while kills are cumulative, the way the scale is curved you CAN get into pvp later and catch up....I mean I personally have seen myself catch up with people that were 3-4 ranks higher than me, and pass them within a few weeks. I'm a blood guard and once you get there, you do have to step it up a decent bit to advance, but you don't have to spend all day every day online...I play maybe a game or two of CTF a nite.

and skill does make up for gear in a lot of cases.
