i am writing this post to inform realpoors and the world of eq on what a low life scamming piece of shit this guy is i purchased a character named batugan off of him a 60 gnome wizard this account was given to a nephew of mine for him to play about a month after he sold him he stole the account back when i bought him he said ill send u account keys well after we realized the account got stolen back i logged on eq and did a who all batugan and low and behold there he was i spoke to him and he recognized me right away and told me that it wasnt him and all of a sudden his toon is now named batugan and he is a rogue so he changed the wizards name and scammed me well since this happened i have filed a law suit and contacted paypal and they are both testifying well mr mark rizzo you are an a*****e and oh yeah ill see you real soon bud i have adress and telephone number im gonna drag you around that apartment like the b***h you really are enjoy yours truly

See, i thought Richard was scamming me, hen all along someone else was trying to pin it on him, So richard is the one who really got scammed, and i would be p****d to0, i was mad about 300.00 he lost 700.00 ! dear god, id hurt someone.

I logged onto Realpoor today, and saw my name being dragged around as a scammer. I'm not, and wanted to take a few minutes to clear some things up.
Rich bought the account on April 13, 2002 from me:

Two weeks after Rich bought the account, he sold it to Memighty1, who stripped all the items and re-sold it. I talked to Memighty1, and he CONFIRMED richard sold him the account:

OK Here's the interesting part. I quit everquest for a while. Months later I came back to play with a real life friend who started playing. I went and bought EQ, started a new account, and sure enough, my old name was available (batugan) so I took it! Started my gnome rogue. Leveled him up for a few months. TWO DAYS before planes of Power come out, I get a tell in game from Zayahoue (who richard owned at the time, not sure if he still does). Rich says that the Batugan account was HACKED, and asked me if I could use my CD-keys to get the account back. (When I sold the account, I offered Rich the CD keys, and he refused saying he didn't want them.). Now, I check out playerauctions often so I knew when rich bought it, he resold it soon after. I was suspicious - didn't he sell the account? I asked him WHEN the account got hacked - he said about a month after he bought it. Look at the dates above - his story does not add up.
What Rich is saying, is that he paid 800 for an account, used it two weeks, then the account was stolen before April 25th but he JUST NOTICED IT two days before PoP! He says he tried to contact me before (BS, my contact info is still on Playerauctions) Richard had the account UNDER TWO WEEKS, over 6 months ago, and he wants the keys? Rich didn't even know the wizard's name was changed, or what server he was on, or anything! (Honestly, I don't even know where the character is, what server, what his name is, nothing. I don't care. I stopped playing and sold.)
To make a long story short (too late?) I REFUSED to give him the cd keys, which I still have, and have NEVER used to take the account back (which I'm sure Sony can confirm.). Rich offered me 100, then 200, then 300 dollars to take the account back but I refused because I'd be stealing it from the last person who bought it. (I have logs of the entire conversations, and the original email). Rich wanted ME to steal the wiz account back, then give to him. I'm sure he'd have it resold in no time. He threated to sue me because he said he has a right to the CD keys because he bought them. I refused - I would have given the keys then, but not now. MeMighty1 (on playerauctions) CONFIRMED that RICHARD sold him the account. The account was SOLD, not HACKED. Rich just wants to sell it twice I guess.
Bottom line, Richard is a scammer. Take the few minutes to check the links out above. They tell the whole story. The facts are there.
When I saw Romey's post on here, about Zayahoue I was CONCERNED for him that he might get scammed by dealing with Richard, so I sent a PM as a warning. Now hes calling me names and I'm a scammer? What have I scammed? Bottom line is I should not have bothered to help him, but I'm a nice guy and wanted to do the right thing. I don't apologize for selling my account - I was done playing and figured I'd buy something nice.

Don't feel bad. Desirae and I got taken for 500 dollars as well. It's not like 500 dollars is a lot. I spend that on a w***e in Mustang, Nevada at the ranch for an hour. But it sure is the principal.
You make a deal with someone you damn better stick by it. I won't even drag in names because it's just a minor personal problem but I may wake up and look in the mirror and say "damn what a fool I am". But at least I don't wake up the snake.
Whats funny is I sold one account myself and traded another and never ever would I have dreamed of taking either one back even though I sure could very easily. But I can sleep a man (maybe to trusting) and never once will I ever wake up a snake.

I Dont know who is what here, haha all i know is im cool, i didnt lose my money and im a happy camper, so if batagun is legit, then sorry, i know richard was legit with me so im sorry to him to. Dont really have any idea who is what and where and even why for that matter so , im done. Ill never ever ever ever EVER buy anything from ebay or Realpoor, or playersauction...ishouldnt have even tried in the first place.

Well speaking for my situation it was in in game ally or aquaintence. I won't go as far as saying a friend because it wasn't to close knit of a relationship.
This player and myself do go as far back to the days of when Fear farms where the daily routine. Aside from that we were guildmates until he sold. Just really can't trust anyone.

I can testify that I've known Batugan for 5 months in-game. He restarted playing EQ after a break in order to play with a RL buddy of his. His message above clearly shows that his story is correct. It's really a shame that a scammer (who's anonymously posting here) is trying to blackmail an honest guy into giving him the old account information for an account that was sold seven months ago and changed hands 4 times.
Batugan's a class act and wouldn't scam anyone.

I assume you are referring to me as the "Idiot" that posted anon about Batugan being a nice guy. First of all, d*****t, I posted anon because I hadn't received my Login ID for this site yet. Furthermore, I signed my name at the bottom. FLUXUS. I'm a 55th lvl rogue on Tarew Marr. I'm on just about everyday, so when you log in your ebayed character, do a /who all Fluxus. Then take a minute to introduce yourself. And, if you're felling really frisky, maybe we can meet in the Arena.
I seriously doubt you'll do this as that would require some actual courage on your part. It's easy for losers like you to creep around on these boards and post trash about other people that you don't know. But, when confronted, you hide in your little hole.
I am, in fact, a real player. My character's name is Fluxus. I am not, nor have I ever been "Batugan". I know the guy though and felt that it was important to speak up in his defense. He doesn't need my support since his post CLEARLY details the truth. But, you probably didn't bother to even read his post.

He didn't post anon, his char name is at the bottom of the post. And Batugan is a good guy, or at least he was when he played the wizard to begin with.
If you buy an everquest character you're just taking a risk that it will be taken back, especially one that's been traded 4 or 5 times already. Good luck with your lawsuit. Only dumber one is the guy in Seattle who tried to sue somebody for stealing his marajuana.

I have played eq with Batugan for perhaps a year and a half.
While i dont know the real person behind the toon, i can say that during that year and a half i have never had any time ever witnessed any event or anything at all that would lead me to believe that batugan was untrustworthy.
He was honest, hard working, loyal, and fun to hang around in game.
When having to choose between an anonymous poster who obviously has the grammatical knowledge of an 8 yr old vs. an eq colleague of a year and a half....im gonna hafta believe Batugan on this one.

Hey guys! It's feels good when people you know come to your defense. Especially after so long of being away. thanks!
I'm happy that people remember me in a good way - they can see beyond the fact I'm a gnome! Sometimes I do regret jettisoning batugan - maybe I should have just mothballed him for a while.. But the good thing is, after playing 2 years as a caster as my only character, it's nice to play a rogue! No medding! Now if my rogue could just gate around and quad kite in burning woods, life would be great!
Hey Brutul, Silver and Ranth! Everyone in the old BC crew I knew were really fun! I still see so many faces I know (of course not many in jaggedpine where i'm leveling, but at least in the nexus or bazaar!) And I'm having a great time with my new guildmates! (Flux! Flikker!) If you see a group of shorty rogues and tanks run by, its probably us!

Why not just let this thread die? Seems like to me a lot of shit went down the wrong way , and some people still sore about it. Best bet is to just let it go away....People will forget in less than a month and wont even realize this shit happend. But the more you bring it up, the more people will speculate or form their own conclusions.

Batugan is one of the oldest friends I have in the )(*@#$ silly game and I don't know him in RL but I can say he's one of the nicest most sincere people I've ever met in this fake little world of ours. He's not the type of guy to just up and s***w ppl for a quick fix, well, unless he needs h****r money or beer scrilla.
