so i'm on my way to my friends place tonight after a party, dropping him off.
we come to a T in the road, and notice a car in a ditch at the top of the T, on the other side of an elevated bike path that runs along the top of the T.
so we stop to see if everything is ok.
shes outside and yelling frantically, begging us to not let the cops come....shes obviously drunk off her ass...
all my instincts were screaming out to call the cops and nab this dumb b***h. but for some reason i didn't...and helped her out of the ditch with my car. her airbags deployed so her car wouldn't start so we said good luck and took off...
i'm just worried that i'm gonna open up the paper someday and see her picture in a story about her killing a family in a drunk driving incident, and it'll be my fault.
why the f**k didn't i call the cops. god dammit.

No but he is a motorist and he knows a lot of people who he cares about who are also motorists.
Drunk drivers are piece of shit scum. Selfish, "it can't happen to me"-thinking little f***s. I don't think they deserve beatings or jail or murder or whatever. They just do not deserve the privelage of driving.
Curious what Kbarr has to say about this topic.

I only locked up a few people for DWI, and 2 of them were meter maids:), f**k them. I tended to just toss keys or lock the keys inside the car when I pulled drunks over.

when i went out friday night with a few cops, we talked about this discussion and they all said unless you're a d**k when you're drunk, you'll get off. the cops all felt bad because they've all been there before and since the punishment is so harsh, they don't wanna f**k anyone over that bad.

man, DUI is like suspended license and a decent sized fine and shit.. and you're pretty much f**k on insurance after that.
just because you're DUI doesn't make you an attempted murderer.

What do you think "killed by a drunk driver" means? Killed by someone who wasn't DUI? I mean if you're going to deny reality and try to play word games, or flit around and pretend people operating lethal machinery at high speeds while drunk isn't dangerous, then I really don't know what to say.

Well, if you're going to just sit here and read this then ok I will type something meaningful. I don't know where my life is going, but I know I'm gonna sleep tonight and then go to work tomorrow and probably poop some during that time, if you know what I'm saying. What I'm trying to say is, sometimes I poop in the morning and sometimes I do it a little later in the morning after I eat.

Supposedly 4 drinks within an hour will get most average weight guys close to the limit. Unless you're under 21, when they can take you in for just about anything, but .02 gets you a DUI.

In Indiana and Michigan, like most states, a driver with a blood-alcohol level (BAC) of .08 percent or higher is considered too intoxicated to drive.
That's a quote from the article that popped up on google about the guy with a .69 BAC. I don't think my 45 pound niece would reach .08 on 2 drinks.

There's some nifty calculators online, and 2 pints of beer (or 3 bottles I guess) puts you damn near the limit.
Just for fun, I calculated the fifth I drank (see the picture post) in 90 minutes or so and came up with a .49 BAC.
.40 is comatose, sometimes fatal.
