The tricks of the trade

I hope it looks nice to everyone and you all find it easy to use.

The best way to utilize these new trade windows and forums is to follow the rules. Many of you will see Emails and IM services are nolonger allowed for trades/sales. use the PM service here to ensure a safer trade for all parties on a lot of the posts. this is because the PM system is enabled to allow communication back and forth as well as to offer you a level of security. If a scam claim is made then the PMs can be check . If a fraud claim is made then there may be authorities who need additional data and we can go thru the PMs.

If someone wants to talk to you thru another medium, you might want to be leery since we recommend the PMs for YOUR SAFETY. I would have to say you may want to take your time buying or selling till credit is built up and established. Again,that would be in the same  road as personal safety. While no trade system is perfect ( Just look at eBay) and no person is perfect ( just look at those [VW] guys), utilizing a few simple tactics can help ensure a much safer trade.

1. Use our PM service. A scammer will try to avoid it. We share all IPs and such with the other sites that have similar a focus as our site ( Such as MarkeeDragon)
2. If it SOUNDS to good to be true, it is. Do not think to yourself " MAN ! This guy has no idea what he has, i am gonna SCORE ! and cheaply". Your probably being set up.
3. PATIENCE... I am sorry, did you miss that / AH , ok [size=12]PATIENCE[/size]. Most of the people who i see getting ripped off are easy marks because they lack Patience. Take a moment, think about the trade,view the big picture,ask yourself safety oriented questions. Make sure your not feeling like it MAY be a scam. Paranoia is a scary thing, caution is not :)
4. BE PARANOID! ...seriously lol
5. Utilize the Hall of Shame as well as peoples info, below their Avatar, as points are built up.
6. If a person DOES send you links thru the PMs, asking you to talk on aim or MSN or an email, GOOGLE IT ! I am serious. I caught several scammers here by Googling the information they left. Characters,emails, MSN names,etc,etc. People are creatures of habit and rarely deviate and that makes them easy to track if they have done ill in the past.
7. Just really use common sense.

I understand we have a VERY young crowd here and the idea of seeing a return on a game investment is very appealing, but if you go into it full tilt and get scammed, what has it gotten you ?
