Everybody loves online games. They are fun, relaxing,enjoyable and addicting. But did you know that some of these online games can get very dangerous, leading to deadly consequences....
Dont you just love making good friends on online games e.g runescape and world of warcraft. Lets say you were very close to someone on a game. After some time he/she asked you for your personal details or asked you to meet up somewhere near where you live. What would you say? I found out that in a vote 69% of teenagers aged from 13-17 would say yes because there is no harm giving them your personal details and meeting up with your best friend on the game would be great fun. If you chose to say yes and meet up with your friend there is a chance you might never return...
At least over 50 people every year go missing or are found dead or raped because of this. This is a very serious matter. Your friends who you talk to on online games can be anyone. They say they are 13 but they might be 50. They say they are a boy when they might be a girl. Never give your personal details to anyone. Never decide to meet up on your own with anyone you dont know. Remember, if anyone asks you for your personal details report them. If you are going to meet up with anyone bring a parent with you.
