This was my first article, but it never got published ;)
Some people have been PMing mods asking for things to be done when we are not allowed to do so. It seems people are getting confused about the difference between Moderators and Admins. well, here is a list of what we can and can not do.
Moderators CAN:
- Delete, lock, edit, move and split posts and topics on forums they moderate.
- Check IP addresses for aliases on forums they moderate.
- Request for a ban on accounts.
- Get you permanently banned for PMing us spam and offense. DON'T try it.
- Close trades if people have broken rules.
- Be PM'ed to. Don't be afraid of us, we are here to help.
- Help get you an opportunity for a promotion to supporter/advisor/mod. (good members only)
Moderators CAN NOT:
- Ban people. Mods ask the admins for a ban to be made.
- Delete, lock, edit, move and split posts and topics that they DO NOT moderate.
- Check IP addresses on forums they don't moderate.
- Post for you in the trading sections.
- Reopen trades.
- Change your status to supporter/advisor/moderator.
- Make changes to the site.
ADMINISTRATORS can do everything on this site. Do not get them confused!
