How to avoid Paypal scams as a Seller/Buyer

by CompleteGibberish

It is simple.

Request the persons Paypal email.

Send them a request for payment,IE:Click on the Request money link at the top of your account page

Ensure that this person has a SHIPPING ADDRESS attached to this email address (Verified PAYPAL ONLY )

When payment is sent, send the buyer a receipt for the purchase BEFORE CONCLUDING THE TRADE TO THE ADDRESS LISTED. Send this receipt priority mail,2nd day delivery ( Or next ) and make it registered. Include your PHONE number and the message " If you did NOT authorize this transaction VIA Paypal and your credit card, please contact me ASAP to avoid potential fraud and/or Identity theft.

Now,any buyer/seller,who's so bent over demanding the account after payment is sent needs to be ignored, disregarded and laughed at as they are too impatient and will be the one to get cold feet or the urge to steal. It is easy to justify a theft when you do not have to face the person.

HASTE is your enemy and the scammers best tool.

Be sure to have an image, copy and all data relating from the mail service, if requested by paypal.

If you leave a trail the thief can't deny the action/activity and PAYPAL will use that data to verify if it is a fraudulent claim

As always, I find paypal to be the trashiest service in the world, but millions of you still use it, so use it with intelligence.

Make sure the seller/buyer knows this deal will not be concluded until this mail transaction has been completed.

I was also told to ensure you are called, on a Lan line, that matches the addressee as well. I would suggest to pay the 2.00 and tell them to make it collect as well, that gives you additional documented proof of contact.

And unauthorized charge, by a child, on a parents card, is the parents issue, not the buyer/seller and paypal will not side with the parent on refunding the transaction if this is the case.

now, those of you whom do not read this and psot that you were STILL scammed Via Paypal need to just consider yourselfs targets for natural selection one day as no person can go on living so oblivious and inattentive for long
