sometimes when i try to play DVDs it will say "could not detect your DVD navigator. make sure it is installed or upgrade it."
is this the program or has my DVD drive pooped out?

i havent installed a driver for a CD or DVD in about 10 years. my guess is that it's part of some program. if yer watching DVDs just reinstall something like powerdvd or whatever your viewer of choice is

you need a software dvd decoder to watch dvd's they don't come with windows
download the k-lite mega codec pack it will install one for you
|

i think divx includes a dvd codec in its player too.

if its only happening sometimes you prolly have a shit player or your set to the wrong region or you have bad discs or god just hates you.
