color would be the difference in those cats
| Quote: | Coloring
The Birman has what we think of as typical Siamese coloring -- a cream colored coat with "points" of darker color on the face, ears, feet, and tail. However, Birmans differ from Siamese in that they have white "socks" on all four feet. Point colors are seal, chocolate, blue, and lilac. The nose and paw pads are pink |
this is kinda interesting too:

mostly pure speculation, but from cats I've known a bunch of it holds true

Prefer a cat that has not been trained to shit in my shoes and then pack it up in the toe section out of sight.

Both of my cats I picked up as strays off the street (not from the shelter or humane society or whatever) and other than one of them hiding under the couch anytime anyone besides my mother or myself is in the house, they're perfectly normal loving pets. Though the other cat is 18, thinks he's a dog, and has the health of a 6 year old cat.

what the f**k are you babbling about?
Cats prefer to shit in sand or dirt that's why they are so easily litter trained. It takes all of about 30 minutes to train a cat to use the box. If he is pooping or peeing anywhere else it's because his litter is dirty, there is something obstructing his access to it or because it's in a place where the cat doesn't feel he has any privacy. There are 50 billion other reasons why they are peeing and pooping where they are not supposed to and not a SINGLE one has to do with whether or not they were raised in a pound or in a pet shop.

Sphynx. It does have a cool personality and is allergen-free. The downside is the $2,000 price tag.

God.. I guess if you have the money to spend it's ultimately your call. I just can't fathom paying that much for a cat. Ultimately most domestic cats are friendly and if you don't adopt the first one you see sometimes you find really nice ones at the pounds. I've seen a dozen Russian Blues and Siamese that were just adorable in the local pound. They have all kinds in there

I would never spend that much. My fiance bought it years ago. I'm very allergic to cats, though, and think it's pretty cool. I haven't touched one besides this one for about 10 years.

What the f**k are you now, a park ranger? I was kidding, my cat was a humane society diamond find.
