Is there anyway you can turn a pdf file into a doc file to cut and paste?

I ahve to take a 1040ez form and put it onto excel with embedded formulas for a project due tomorrow would help if I dind't have to type all the little stuff. Please help! Very Happy

i don't think you can. pdf files are created to maintain their orientation no matter what system you're viewing the file from. this causes problems when you want to edit the file because the file doesn't contain the necessary information in order to convert it from the read-only format to a fully editable format.


that's my understanding anyway.

I sort of have the same impression as R00tus. Although there are some tools that do a probably half-assed job, which may be good enough for the part that you need.

You could try http://wheel.compose.cs.cmu.edu:8001/cgi-bin/browse/objweb which purports to do it online.

You need the full version of Acrobat... not just the viewer.

the full version of acrobat (at least last time i used it which was a few years ago) would only let you edit like line by line .. so if you needed to add a few words to a line, it woulden't word wrap that line because .. umm .. i guess each line is a different object and not continuous

just downloaded this program. it works pretty good. it converts for you. though if you have pictures in your pdf it may not works as well
