Sweet jesus would a situation like that suck. Regardless of how it realy escelated to that before the camera was turned on that is rediculous. Im suprised the kid kept his cool.

I wish I had a hidden camera when I was in highschool to tape my step-mom being a psycho. Not to report it to the cops or anything but just to have, maybe bust out the footage at a family get together.

Yea, but you don't get to see how she got that angry. He probably was provoking her that whole time. Remember when she said she already asked nicely? Why didn't he let her have the car then? He probably did it all to get it posted on the internet and look like the poor helpless child. 
She should call social services/DHS, let him see how fast he loses that car and job and get sent to a group home of handy downs and large rooms with bunk beds.
Yea, she's a terrible person and mother for calling her son all that shit but he ain't making the living situation any better.

How do you know that the kid hasn't been living with his mom for longer than she's willing to put up with and he's not contributing to the house? I've heard of kids who live out most of their lives with their parents, never giving them a dime, yet they eat and crash there, and then they have the balls to b***h about their parents being "psycho" all the time. Well... duh.. they don't want you there anymore, you're a leech.
The point of the story : you don't know the whole story. You don't know who in that situation deserves respect, if anyone. If it's that miserable that kid needs to move. You're never too young to move out of the house if you're so unhappy you have to broadcast it on the internet. He has a job and a car, he's obviously old enough and able enough to make a life for himself.

Technically you're still a minor until you're 17 in most states, and your parents "have" to take care of you by law. It might be 16, but I'm pretty sure it's still 17 in most. And by stating he is 16 makes your statement not apply to him. Just because you have the means to do something doesn't mean it would be in his best interest.

I think at age 17 or 16 your parents can pretty much do anything they want. LIke where he was 'going to work', his parents can restrict that, I believe they can also force you to surrender your drivers license.
