Basically, I've got a file that has a license associated with it. It's good till the 9th of october... How the hell can I strip this license off this shit?
Maybe streaming it and ripping the stream? Anyone know this shit well?

Used to work for Movielink, licensed movies etc in this manner...
Never tried it but the best we could come up with was to use Premiere to convert the file to a raw MPG and then convert to whatever type of file you wanted... was a sound theory but one didn't really look into at all...
Really though, may not be able to be done.

No it's not Mug, at least if it's done the way I've worked with.
Each copy is given a unique key which has a date of expiration. He'd have to get the entire license key tied to an almost serial number in the actual in order to let it work. Some even delete automatically after expiration.
Really it depends on what kind of DRM it is and how it's setup.

If you wanna do that rent it from a real store and just rip the dvd, dvd encryption is cake to get passed and the quality will be way better if the movie is in vob/ifo format.
