I didn't mean that, I meant how many will just throw in the towel now that they've lost, and how many will keep working to develop commercial products even without the prize.

I think people were doing it more so to be "the first" then the actual money.
I think it was a 10million$ prize, but didnt the space ship take 30+ million to develope/maintain?

That's the same argument we had some time ago. I don't personally feel NASA "sucks" per se, I think they don't move ahead as quickly as a private venture would, partially because they're just one more bureaucracy held by the nuts by Congress and the Administration, but Tolanin thinks differently.
