isnt this the point of the rating system? so that people who arent of age cant get games that are rated M and up.
this is like complaining because you got carded for buying alcohol when you were 20.

I got carded at the movies a couple of months ago even though I'm well past the legal age to watch rated R. Close to 10 years past actually lol. I had never been carded at the theater before, not even when I was 17.
I also got denied at a party store last Christmas when I went to buy a 6 pack of Foster's ( X 10 that evening!)

Yes, but when Ive never been carded before, its more then a little unexpected.. And games are slightly different than alcohol.

with morons running around shooting people and then saying they did it because of GTA, getting carded is prolly a good thing.not that it will really help alot, but if the rateings are enforced and someones dad buys them a game it makes it harder to blame the company.

i was with a friend of mine at wal-mart once and he got carded for fuel injector.
it was great, we huffed the entire bottle right after showing the old bag his license.
everyone always asks me if it was worth the 3 month hospital visit, and i just nod.
there is a 50% truth to lie ratio in this post. you be the detective.

The Other day me and my friend went into the store (were both 1 and he asked for a strawberry phili blunt and a pack of 1.5 papers.
The person behind the counter asked if he was 18 he said yes. She did not even ask for a card. He could of lied!
Kinda funny.

Went into Wal-Mart to buy .45 ammo for my carbine.
Keep in mine that a carbine is a rifle, and rifles are legal-to-own and legal to buy ammo for at 18+.
b***h cards me, no big problem. The problem begins when she hands me the card back and says "I'm sorry, I can't sell handgun ammo to anyone under 21".
So I politely explain how I am 18, but I own a rifle that takes .45 ammunition, and a .45 caliber rifle isn't anything new under the sun. I even walked around and pointed out the exact model I own. Figuring this had explained the situation entirely, I walk around to the register once more and begin to take out my debit card.
She gets REALLY p****d off and says "Listen, I don't know what you think you're doing but I clearly said that I can't sell you handgun ammuntion!"
At this point, I figured there wasn't any possible way I'm getting ammo from this c**t, so I ask for the manager.
"He's not in right now."
Supervisor?
"I can't call him."
Store manager?
"He won't sell you handgun bullets either, kid."
Between the idiocy of the situation and her calling me "kid", I get equally p****d off and ask her "exactly why do you think I would walk into a f*****g wal-mart and buy ammunition for a gun I CAN'T EVEN OWN LEGALLY?" Couple more minutes of swearing and seeing just how bad/subintelligent I can make her feel, and she starts reaching for her phone.
Parting shot of "Oh, NOW you feel like calling people."

I don't get carded anymore... mostly cuz I work at the two places to get carded, the bar and the music/video/vgames/book store.
That means, discounted games, inside info when they come out, WHICH I DUN SHARE WIF JOO, and discounted beer.

Wal-Mart is for dicks.
I love their $9.44 DVDs that come to $10.01 here with the 6% sales tax. You'd think Wal-Mart could spare a penny and not give me a heaping pocket full of change???? NOOOO.... they made me break another dollar for a damn penny.

Most places like a 7 11 or a Shell gas station card people because of policy and shit. But if you go to like a country store or family owned business they can care less. Stupid politically correct people.

I hardly ever get carded for booze or smokes, and I'm 21.
It p****d me off though, I turned 21 about 3 weeks ago, so on my birthday I go to the store to buy a case of beer....the guy looks at me like "You 21?" and I'm like "Yeah"....and he just sells it to me.
I wanted the f****r to card me

lol! They can't stop Fattguy! All they can do is watch in anguish as he leaves with the game, probably unpaid for! Oh well, mark that off as "broken" when you do the inventory and hope that Fattguy doesn't have a mind to come back and take even MORE games next time!!1

Actually, at most shopping centers, none of the security can chase you down and detain you, or even touch you for that matter.
So if you manage to make it to the parking lot with a game or two, youre scott free if you can just get home and never come back :p

I've watched 2-3 "big guys" working at best buy go flying out the door when a kid walked out with a few CD's under his coat and tried to make a break for it. they grabbed him while he ran and drug his ass back into the store.
Go them!
