This one seriously has me stumped. I love working out to old dance / house / funky breakbeat type music, takes me back to my club days of the early 90s.
At any rate, here is the deal. I do not know what this song is called because it was pretty ubiquitous... it used to get mixed into every "party mix" on the planet. I thought it was Junior Vasquez and if it's not, I'm positive it's close to the mark.
The only trace of the song I have left is contained in a clip I extracted from an old "Dance Party" mix album.
http://www.psyborg.com/track%2007.mp3 (Please note : I can't figure out how to make it auto play so right click and Save As.. to your desktop or something and play from there)
Here is the clip. It is approximately 50 seconds long, it's about 1.2 Mb (extracted at high quality). This is the breakdown : The clip is from a Ruffneck song called "Everybody wants to be be Somebody" There is a good 20 seconds of the song so you get an idea for what it sounds like. At approximately 25.5 seconds into the clip (1 min 25 seconds into the whole song) you can hear the song I am trying to track down being mixed in. You can only hear it for about 10 seconds but it's distinctly different from the [somewhat annoying] song that it is overlapping.
The million dollar question for today is
Who can tell me what song this is?
-Nah-

try King Crimson - Elephant Talk in the uploads section on r00t's ftp... at about 2:20 into the song, the chord progression sounds too familiar to be coincidence.
Might not be what you were looking for, but it's a trippy song nonetheless.
EDIT: nm, after listening to both of them back to back, the beat is way off. Still sounds similar and definitely worth the download.
