So let's say I have an entire season of a TV show. I want to burn the whole thing as a plain old data DVD, leaving all the files as mpg, avi or whatnot. When I goto burn it I can almost fit the entire season on two DVD's, except I'm only short by just a few hundred MB.
Is there any program I can use to shrink each video file down just a small bit in order to fit everything perfectly on a certain amount of DVD's?

I think you can overburn too or whatever it's called. basically telling it to burn more than it usually will.

Nope, won't let me. When I try I always get an error.
Doesn't DVD Shrink only work for standard DVD formats, not Divx?

put all the files like you are going to burn a disc, save it on the hard drive instead then shrink it.

Use something like virtualDub to cut out the opening and ending credits to most of the episodes, generaly ill do this and cut the opening from all but the first and the ending from all but the last
