Man, this is my favorite all time series...Firefly. 
Wish they would bring it back...maybe on Sci-Fi channel.

I watched the series on DVD and it was v good, an utter shame it got cancelled and sounds like fox f****d it up royally by messing with the continuity of episodes.
I'd love to see this film go stellar and get a new series or a series of films but sadly I think that this will be the last outing.

Honestly, if battlestar galactica can do it, firefly can do it better.
The interest the miniseries generate made them create a new seris (which in my opinon sux except for special effects)
Serenity looks soooo much better then the galactica miniseries it could work.
I pray it works..any series where the main guy throws someone into a spaceship engine for not answering his question without remorse pwns

Firefly has always owned. Can't wait for the movie and the series to start back up. I just hope they keep the same cast. Theres not 1 actor on there I dont enjoy.

My favorite character is the Pilgrim/Preacher...he's the ole Venus Flytrap from WKRP in Cincinnati comedy series...he's a bad ass in lamb's clothing in Firefly, I'm assuming he was some high diplomat/military officer before taking his religious vows.
Then there's the Captain, what a badass...in the pilot, he was rocking with that huge BFG shooting down the ship.

I would have to say jane is my favorite. The funniest episode was when they went to the town and he was the hero and all. Was it called Janestown? I forget been awhile.
I am so happy the movie is coming out. I loved the hell out of that series. One of my favorite that I can remember.

Series by Fox, film by Universal. I have a feeling the rights alone for Firefly will be pretty f****d up by now. Still it would be nice if Sci Fi picked it up. However, what I'm hearing is that Galactica is costing them more than they can afford and they're trapped by its success.
They haven't even picked up the new Doctor Who and that would hardly have been particularly expensive and would have had guaranteed ratings.

This is actually something that counts against it. While the morality of Firefly is perfectly acceptable to a non-US audience the prudish nature of American network TV kind of means that it has at least one strike against it before it starts.

there is a prescrening in march on austin. Was announced today, 7 showings or so, and its all sold out already.
trailer looks great. This really could be quite a fantastic movie
