I am looking for some new games for X-Box. Currently have Halo, Slugfest, Nightfire, Star Wars: KotOR. Post your top 10 best games list or something so I have an idea on some good games to go out and get. Thanks.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO (you can play it online with X-box live)
Mechassault (also can be played online)
Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 (also online)
DoA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball (chicks in bikinis jumping up and down, the pool mini-game rules)
Morrowind (if your computer sucks like mine its fun on the X-box)
the rest of the good ones I guess you got already (Soul Calibur 2, Halo, Star Wars: KoTOR)

don't really have a top 10 for Xbox....doesn't have that many great titles that arent also available for the other consels....deffinately need to pick up or rent a copy of Soul Calibur 2 though....probably best new game Xbox has right now.

How hard is it to actually mod your box once you get everything in, i.e. could any old person do it or do you need some electronic background.

There are two different types of mod-chips available. Ones that require soldering wires from the mod-chip to the motherboard, or solderless ones that use "pogo" connectors to make contact with the points on the motherboard.
As for electronics background, not necessarily unless you want a solder mod-chip.
Personally, I've never soldered anything in my life, and I chose a mod-chip that has the pogos.
The two most popular chips are the Xecuter 2.x (2, 2.1, &2.2), and the Xodus/Matrix or now Chameleon. Both have solderless options, and both work with all bioses available.
Basically you need general computer hardware knowledge, as well as TCP/IP LAN w/ FTP client knowledge.
There are tons of tutorials on xbox-scene so it shouldn't be too difficult if you read it all.

i tried for like a week to figure how to mod my xbox and i just gave up on it.
anyways my top 10
1. Halo
2. NCAA Football 2004
3. Sega Soccer Slam (great party game)
4. Rallisport (only 20$ greatest hits) tons of fun on this one
well thats only 4 but the only games I like enough to own, all of them good for multiplayer which i do a lot.

Yabden... you pretty much have to have a basic fundamental knowledge of computers and TCP/IP networking to get it going.
Although, I've seen/heard of total newbs to computers successfully pull off an xbox mod.
You'd be amazed at how many newbie tools/tutorials are available nowadays. A year ago it was a bit more challenging.
Forums on XBOX-Scene is filled with knowledgeable people as well as a newbie section.

my fav xbox game is definatly knights of the old republic, but i'm a n**d. halo kicked a huge amount of ass too. Mechassault was a good game, worth purchase imo.
