So I installed this crap, like a good lemming, and it stripped out my f*****g Google tool bar....
My HP R80 all of a sudden won't print...computer sees it, it is online, but something is now wrong between point A and point B  HP's site has no mention of such an issue, as of yesterday...
Anyone else having odd stuff happen?

dont install sp2 =p
ESPECIALLY if you have any kind of spyware on your comp, it will f**k it up bad.

Well it's too late, isn't it? I mean, I can't uninstall it, can I? I didn't even think to check
I did reinstall my Google toolbar and disabled all the things I could in the new Windows security thingie...
My printer still isn't working tho and I can't even reinstall drivers cause I can't find my XP backup disk that came with my computer and HP doesn't offer drivers for XP setups on its site

SP2 hasnt f****d anything of mine up. Didn't know it came with its own pop up blocker so I actually uninstalled my Google Toolbar. All the new security features are nice though.

Prince,
Chances are you are printing via IP.
Go disable the Windows Firewall in the control panel and see if you can print. If this fixes it, you need to allow the printer to communicate back with you (port 9100 incoming from your printer IP if its a JetDirect, etc).

Apparently, the printer port was switched from LPT1 to Dot_4 or whatever that one is...switching it back did the trick.
