console gaming has become a horserace of corporate prositution. every other year the gates open for the big 3 to try and gobble as much money for as little value as possible.
i would rather see the money spent on developing these glorified toaster-ovens go into creating the best game or a series of games, but instead its all about getting the big bang of another 300-500 bucks from people buying a "next generation" console.
i stopped playing this fool's game with N64 and I have no regrets. i've played ps2 and xbox1 and enjoyed many titles but see no reason to drop a few grand to keep my console gaming library on the "cutting edge"
waste of money

I bought a DreamCast for Virtual Figher 3 and Chu-Chu rockets. I found Soul Calibur to be pretty fun, too, for a button-mashing, no-strategy zerg fest feeling.

I bought a PS2 for FFX, Katamari Damacy and Xenosaga, I also enjoyed the .hack series for a rather well done imitation of an actually mmorpg (intolerable idiots to group with, server crashes, unbalanced gameplay).

killer instinct was cool. i used to love those 2d fighting games, but could never get into the 3d shit like tekken. always felt that 2d had more skill-based strategies, the 3d shit always felt like random-button-mash-4tw
