After reading so many posts about people scamming on wow trades i think something needs to be done, i mean not that the members of the realpoor community havent tried, numerous posts and articles telling you how to trade safely. It seems people just dont listen.
Ive got an idea that i would like the mods admins to look at.
I will offer a wow middleman service.
Steps:
1. One person from the 2 involved in the trade will contact me.
2. Price for a new account to be setup, so thats wow classic key + a tbc key needs to be included in the price, also dependant on how many characters need transfering to the new account additional costs will be added to this.
3. the seller will give me account information, including last name sq + a, i will confirm this information if anything is incorrect i will cancel the trade and warn the interested buyer.
4. once i have confirmed the info the buyer will send me payment, supplied with an email address and his contact information inculding their requested Secret question and answer.
5. I will then setup a new account with the sellers last name, and the buyers contact info i will then transfer the characters across to the new account.
6. Once the transfer process is complete i will send the remaining cash onto the seller and the account details onto the buyer, along with cd keys.
Like i said this is an idea and i would like feedback off admins/mods and general realpoor members before i implement this.
This process may rise the cost of accounts slightly, and it may take a little longer to process, but this allmost %100 guarentees the account and payment. Oh one more thing before i forget in regards to the payment, my paypal account used for ths process is specifically setup just for this reason it will never contain any other funds other than that sent to it by the buyer once the process is complete my account will be empty once again.
I will only process 1 trade at a time if all goes well it could be 1 trade per day.

No point in a wow middleman... if people are so worried about getting scammed...the should learn to be scam proof. This is just a lazy excuse

It's a good idea Stec. If you want to go ahead with this and advertise a middleman service, write down your advertisement service on a text document outlaying what you provide, prices, safety & security, times you are available to do it, how the system works etc.. then run it by me and once its checked out and everything's done you can have it stickied on the WoW trading sections.

Great stuff il sort it out, i wont be doing it too make money for myself just to add security to rp members trades.
Il also be supplying Completegibberish with more personal details about myself, to ensure that my being the 3rd party can be vouched for as being safe.
Bloodangel this isnt a lazy option, im offering to help people make secure trades and enable the rp community to become more confident in the services available.
Not everyone is an amazing buisnessman that is un-scammable.

True, i was wrong, but. I think that people should open there eyes and help themselves. For this site, i think there should be a library of knowledge on how to spot scammers. I have tons of info i would add there if there was a such thread. I have not found it thus far, i may have over looked, if so, please show me and see if i can add anything new.

Send a pm to an admin try completegibberish or windshell and ask if your able to write an article, they may allow you the privilige.
check the articles link up at the top to see whats already been written.
