Personally i believe its true but i would like to hear other opinions.
I already know
Runscape Doesnt cut it. though they really did good job updating graphics recently.
Age of conan IS SOO BAD
Guild wars is Meh. too easy?

WoW is easily the best MMO to date. I used to play ragnarok online which was a korean MMORPG and it was pretty decent, but as soon as i picked up WoW for the first time I was sold. Not only is raiding the most addicting thing ever but the graphics are insanely beautiful for being how aged they are. The gameplay alone rocks face and I would love to see Age of Conan ever "level up" to what WoW has done over the past couple of years.

IMO, the only thing that may possibly ever overtake WoW is another blizz game. The fan base is far to large. And the power they have over the market is absurd.

It USED to be a f*****g great game. 11/10, no doubt. However, with all games, age comes, and imbalances are reoccurring, as well as additions that just ruins the game.
It's outdated, and the only reason people are staying is because they played before, and can't let there characters go, or there friends.

Haha my friend and I have been saying this for a while now. Blizzard games are just too solid. I don't think there's a game they've made that hasn't been met with praise.

Ive never played another game that was as easy to play as WoW, i tried everquest but it just wasnt for me. Also tried diablo but im not a fan.

WoW is definitely the best mmo so far, blizzard has found away to appeal to many people and it's generally fun and simple.

Eaisly Yes... Because its rated #1 on most sites and loads of people are copying the wow data base trying to beat it by adding things wow is going to stick #1 for a couple of years i say

Blizzard sets the standard with all of its games. When starcraft came out, it was the best RTS. When warcraft 3 came out, it was the best. When diablo came out, it rocked. All of these games people are STILL playing after a decade.

Before I came to WoW. I used to play Neocron. www.neocron.com
That was my game of choice I could never find any MMO as good as neocron. It was a FPS/3rd person, and you didn't have to click and let the toon fight for you.
You did all the fighting. So, I don't think WoW is the best mmo.

While WoW was is one of my favorite MMO's, I'm going to have to stick with UO. Yes, Ultima Online. I actually still play that game on private servers, it's still fun. They have done a lot to tune the game down from its original state, however. WoW is a great game, no doubt, but there's just too many unbalances.

It is because there is no competition at the moment. Once mmo's get up to World of Warcrafts level then we will see some diversity and other mmo's that are suited to different peoples needs gain players.

I find that WOW has come far in its graphics and evolution for beta till now. I remember when you had to go to one flight path at a time. Now they are joint together which makes it easier. Also, the bosses and scenery have become alot more graphic and viable. Especially when the daerini area first came out it was so pretty along with the night elfs those areas are the best looking areas in the game

I agree.Its very hard for other MMO games to overtake WoW,maybe Warhammer Online would be nice,god knows. WoW Powerleveling would take lots of time ,but WoW PvP is nice.im not good at it,though.lol

Right now WoW is easily the best MMORPG. You have many actual facts to prove this.
WoW after three years of being out still tops the sale charts. They have over 5 million people currently signed up and active. I sell computer games for a living and I know alot about all of them, but honestly, WoW is the only one I would ever want to personally play.
It's a great game. Yes, there are inbalances, but hey, thats life. Nothing in life is perfect. Yes, it costs money to play; but the way I see it, its alot cheeper to pay $15 for a month of wow and spend my weeknights at home raiding then it is to go out to the bar 4 nights a week.
Also, Blizz learns a great job of learning from their customers. For example, if you've played as long as I have you remeber when you couldn't drag your raid information from the raid interface and you had to use CT_Raid to see everyone in your 40 man. After seeing how many people downloaded CT_Raid. Blizz implemeted alot of its features into the game as a patch. Thats specifically the only example I can think of, but I know that every few patches I'm albe to say to myself, "Sweet, I won't need this mod anymore" because Blizzard has added it into the game itself.
A game that is contantly evolving and changing the way WoW does a) cant be bad because if it was bad it wouldn't make improvements like that, and b) must ahve enough loyal fans to keep it going like that.
Anyways, thats my 2 cents.

I don't believe any game to be the best. Its always a matter of opinion. The amount of players does not represent the quality of a game. Look at some of the free Asian MMO's out now, a lot of them are very similar, and most are grindfests. But people play them. Why? I dont know, but they like them.
To say one game is better than another is an ignorant thing to do. Just about every game is good in one way or another, and has its quality.
WoW is just a game that has a big budget. But if you look at its core, you do the same thing the entire game. Quest, grind, grind, Quest, grind, Level 60!, Quest, grind, grind, Quest, Level 70, Raid, grind, Raid, grind, Instance, Raid.
Nothing special there. I play WoW yes, but I dont say its the best MMO or game out there.
