It's funny, they all hit the pancake campaign trail and pretend they're real folks for the afternoon. Btw, with wife, Kerry's net worth is approximately $675 million. A nice chunk of change, but it's in her name only and he had to mortgage their $5 million house to help pay for his campaign lol. It's amazing how wealthy many of our politicians are, hell d**k and George are worth about $75 million total themselves. Some things never change...

Who would vote for a poor idiot, to run anything? The failed at life, what makes you think they could run any aspect of a government. If you are running at a local lv, you have to be at middle class to upper middle class. Even in the ghetto. The higher you attempt to go the richer you have to be. It costs money to be a politician.

It was $675 million 2 years ago. Now it's probably much closer to a billion.

Successful people are usually wealthy, so it's no surprise that many prominent politicians are. of course...Kerry was only able to marry into wealth.

Yes, the sad reality is that it does.

Btw, suggesting those who aren't in the top echelon of the upper class (which is well over 95% of the US!) 'failed at life' is kind of ridiculous, especially compounded by the fact that many of our politicians were born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouths. Also, it's not like they never fail either, just ask Dubya about Arbusto Oil.

Everybody fails. Not everyone can turn their failures around, though. If you're 60 and can't even manage your own finances, how can anyone expect you to manage the country?
