I have guildwars now, it's pretty neat...so far.

I think I am done for MMO's for the time being. I am playing Star Ocean: Till the End of Time right now and having a blast =)

what happened to NPU?

Its still going strong but my problem with EQII is that its become cookie-cutter at high end. There is no difficulty whatsoever and pretty much all level 50 characters are equipped with the same shit. They just keep making it easier and easier to appeal to the mass-market

It was cookie cutter when I quit, way back in november? Smile

i play 2 hours a day about 4 days a week and find it to be fun but if i played more i think it would suck because you would run out of content so fast . personally i don't need a game i can play till the end of time or want a game where it takes 5 hours to get anything done so WoW is perfect for me.

I think wow really fills a niche for people who don't want to obsess about these video games but just like to play now and then and still feel like they are getting something accomplished when they do play. I could never play another game like eq again because it takes too much time to ever get anything done and i am too easily bored , i simply cant play the game for 5 hours at a time. I wonder who makes up the bigger market share , casual players or so called power gamers.

just out of curiosity what did EQ players do when they hit 50 and there were no expansions yet ? has to be similar to this , cept there actually is a bit of content for 60s in wow .

I sat in plane of hate for 12+ hours at a time and farmed uber Ethereal Mist gear until I was the most l33t cleric on server. Then I quit because it was depressing.

Actually, I would run 6-10 man PoH runs regularly.. which when 50 was the cap was no easy task.. but we had a solid crew... it did involve suicide pulls more frequently than I would have liked though.

Before planes, lower guk was the hot spot... running lower guk at 50 was kind of like doing a solo instance... but instead of the loot mobs never coming back, they came back like every 30 min!

Also, I played with my manastone, and kicked Brael's ass a lot.

There wasn't another MMO game to compare it to, so they probably (I came right after kunark, didn't know many people) made an alt or something. I would doubt that they would leave once you have nothing else to go to that is like EQ.

plenty of shit for you to farm and some hard zones to 5 man . guess its what you make of it .

i don't think WoW is a game for people who "want" to spend more than 10 hours a week playing a video game.

if you have 4-5 hours spare time everyday and you "want" to use it playing a video game than i would not start WoW , you will fly though all the content and get bored real quick.
