If you had to make a decision on which game to play and which to leave, or a decision which game of the two is better, what would be your choice between World of Warcraft and Everquest II? I think I would vote for the World of Warcraft. It is much more intensive for me. What is your choice between World of Warcraft vs Everquest?

This is a hard decision to make. Both of these games, World of Warcraft and Everquest, are among my top rated games and believe me I played a lot of games during the last five years. I can not say that World of Warcraft is more exciting then the Everquest II, but I do like subclasses in World of the Warcraft more then subclasses in the Everquest. If I make my decision on this fact, then my choice will be the World of Warcraft. But I am not sure if this was a fair election. I will continue to play both of these games and I will love every minute of it.

I think it all depends on your preferences and I can help you outline some advantages to each.
WoW:
-Far superior PvP system with RL tournaments.
-Very casual game where you level extremely fast and it is easy to solo to 70.
-Crafting is extremely easy to level by comparison and gearing up your characters takes a lot less effort.
EQ2:
-If you enjoy a good old grind, you'll love EQ.
-Greater sense of exploration and danger. (More risks)
-Group dependent play. If you like to level in groups, you're more likely to find one here.
-Players here are overall more mature than those on WoW.
-Graphics are superior by far.
-Way more options in terms of customizing character and choosing classes. (24+ endgame classes instead of <10)

WoW is really the king right now as far as MMOs go. I'm eagerly awaiting the day when another game comes along to challenge it though.

I'd have to say, my experiences in EQ2 were good ones, and yes, if your looking for depth, grouping, and an all-around more involved game, EQ2 is the game to play, as for WoW its fast, easy, and its solo based, up till end game, twinking makes WoW so much more easy as well, its like being on EQ1 all over again, fungi tunics, haste items, really gimps the experience, but hey, i guess i quit EQ and i still play WoW, so i guess im going to vote for WoW
