I really like World of Warcraft, but several things are missing for me. Where can I find GUI addons, so I can have much better overview of the game? This is one of the things that can help me to play better. I did not find any other article about this, so I do not know if that is possible. However, it would be so cool if you can upgrade you GUI with bunch of addons.

I cannot begin to understand how can you think of changing the GUI in World of Warcraft. It is my opinion that it just cannot be any better than it is now. Any other add on or any other things will spoil the overview of the game play in WoW. The developers spend too much time in designing the game. It would be bad for them to ruin their work with some ad dons. GUI should stay as it is now and nothing should be changed.

do a search for wowace REPLACEr. It is a program that you can manage addons with. curse.com has one as well but that one is dog shite. It tries to upload random crap in your folder and causes drama in game.

I would really recommend the ACE addons from wowace ... bartender, ag_unit frames, atlaslootlink, tinytips, fubar, and cartographer.
I would also get Omen threat meter and deadly boss mods if you plan on raiding.
And grab decursive if you are a mage or paladin.

Addons that I downloaded and eventually loved were bartender, ag_uinitframes and then I had atlas loot, deadly boss mods, and omen for raiding.

Well there is a reason why Bliz allowed for a customizable UI. they allow addons because for what they do, their interface is just a small fraction of design compared to the whole game.
They want authors to make UI addons. Not only do players have more control over the game that way... it gives blizzard ideas... built in scrolling combat text was possible because of the SCT addons the roamed the net. New macro coding like castsequence was added because of those addons like "one button tanking" or "totem stomper" which basically works as the castsequence code blizzard added.
i heard a threat meter and a wardrobe setting (like itemrack and outfitter) well be built into WoW's upcoming expansion.
AS FOR STAYING ON TOPIC.
Like said before... wowace.
Download the REPLACEr here: http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceREPLACEr
Or you can go manual installment through this site: http://files.wowace.com/
Ace mods and addons are great because of low mem usage and their are just great and reliable. other addonsite like wowinterface and curse really lags during patch days and they dont REPLACE their mods as fequently as wowace.
