**I am not taking full credit, I helped in the production of this guide, and used many sources. I will list after.

This topic will be a place for you to get all the information you need on leveling for each class. I will be getting information for various sources (which are linked at the bottom) and I will piece it all together here so you guys have a quick and easy reference point.

This is meant to elaborate on the class specifics of leveling, and not zones and areas. Here is a list of things this thread will cover:

Leveling specs/talent choices

Equipment

Important quests and tips for the best leveling experience.

Current Patch: 2.3
Some general leveling advice

Every guide newer than January of 2007 is going to assure you that Questing is by far the best way to level your character. While on paper this holds true, you might get tired of running around an entire zone for 3+ hours every single time you sign on to level. Mix it up by actually grinding out mobs that cash out decently. Sometimes you will find a zone where the mobs die easy, and they drop anywhere between 1-8 silver a pop and uncountable amounts of linen/wool/silk/mageweave/runecloth/etc... I always broke the tiredness that questing caused me by just breaking the concentration with simple minded grinding. Remember, simple minded grinding = I kill you, you give me loot and xp.

While leveling, I find that Humanoid>Beast ion terms of usable drops (if you're a skinner of course the opposite applies). Stick to the humanoids around your level and you will get significantly more cash drops and more cloth drops. The cloth is used by every single class and almost every trade-skill in the game at some point. Never, and I mean never, vendor Linen cloth. Mail what you find on an alt. On average a stack sells for 23s-30s on any given server through the Auction House. 10 stacks @ 25s = 2g. You can get anywhere between 10-30 stacks of Linen Cloth while leveling in the Barrens specifically (Horde) or in Westfall (Alliance) between 2-4 levels of your time. If you keep up the habit of mailing the cloth to an alt, your pre-20 toon will have enough cash to buy at the very minimum Runecloth Bags (14 slotters); saving you more time by not having to delete trash and constantly vendor during your questing/grinding.

Aside from baggage, grinding humanoids has it's advantages for all classes for the sole purpose of providing bandage mats and highly profitable stacks that those lazy f*****s out there buy to power level their trades. If you have a 70 main, ignore most of this advice because it's primarily aimed toward someone starting on a new server or just starting. The more time you learn to effectively use the Auction House by constantly selling instead of continually buying you will have more gold than you know what to do with. Plenty of Gold to power level your own trades and buy all of your mounts.

The biggest thing that will help you level effectively is to get off the computer. Go outside, play some basketball. Go for a walk, see a movie or anything that involves you being away from the game. The more you are mentally in this game while leveling, the easier it is going to be to lose the drive to do it. If you spend one night playing for 4-6 hours, take the next day off or limit the amount of time you play. Even professionals take breaks.
Addons

Here are some addons that will definately help speed up the leveling process:
LightHeaded
LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

--------------------------- Warrior
Talent Choices

10-14 Cruelty

15-17 Improved Heroic Strike

18-19 Deflection

20-21 Improved Charge

22-24 Improved Thunderclap

25-26 Improved Overpower

27-27 Anger Management

28-30 Deep wounds

At this point your build should be looking like this

31-34 Two-Handed Weapon Specialization

35-35 Death Wish

36-39 Poleaxe Specialization

40+ Go immediately to a Warrior trainer, shell out some gold, and respec full Arms or full Fury.

Level 40 Arms
Talent Calculator

With the Arms build, get Cruelty with the next 5 points, then build towards a traditional build (will be covered in a separate guide).

Level 40 Fury
Talent Calculator

With the Fury build, you will want to be using two One-Handed weapons. Put the next point into Dual Wield Specialization, then builds towards a traditional build.
Gearing your warrior

Strength is your most effective attribute while leveling. It will help you dramatically in every aspect of your development, including soloing and tanking. Strength is the number one attribute to focus on, and this does not change at any point before level 60.

Critical Strike is also very effective. While it must be coupled with Strength to maximize your potential damage, items with good Critical Strike do not come until the late 40's if I recall correctly. When you start picking up Critical Strike items, you want to reach 18-20% crit percentage as soon as possible, then expand on that as you head towards 70. One pitfall to Crit is that it gives you a perception that you are doing more damage than you are -- if you give up too much Strength for Crit, you will wind up doing less actual damage, even though you'll get flashy numbers.

Agility is most effective pre-40. Agility is never a bad attribute, and will often be found paired with Strength. However, there are items which offer combinations of Agility and other stats that are not as effective for Warriors as they would be for, say, Rogues.

Stamina is a core stat you will want to develop, but much of your gear will have Stamina on it, and you will not need to put too much effort into it. As you get closer to the Outlands, be sure to start picking up tanking gear with higher Stamina and Defense on it.

Finally, be sure you are picking up at least two sets of gear -- one for damage and one for tanking.
Important tips

---- Defensive Stance (Level 10) ---

The first thing you need to do is find the quest. These will usually be located in the second starter village of your race.

Once you complete this quest you will learn Defensive Stance. A must have for when you have to tank an instance
Tanking is the act of keeping creatures attached to you and controlling fights. Usually this involves wearing a shield, but again, at lower levels it isn't necessary. There are plenty of good places to read more about this.

---- Berserker Stance (Level 30) ---

The quest to get Berserker stance starts at a warrior trainer. You will have to go to an island southeast of rachet and fight against some random NPCs. At the end you will fight a lvl 33 he is easy to solo shouldn't be a big problem. The quest is pretty easy but it can be a bit nasty for a level 30 warrior.
Use Demoralizing Shout on people you fight. Try it!

---- Whirlwind Axe (Level 30) ---
Whirlwind Axe

This weapon is a must for any leveling warrior. It is obtained through The Windwatcher quest chain

The quest giver can be found at 80.5, 66.9 on the Alterac Mountains map.

--------------------------- Druid
Talent Choices

10-14 Ferocity

15-17 Feral instincts

18-19 Brutal Impact

20-21 Feral swiftness

22-24 Sharpened Claws

25-26 Primal Fury

27-29 Predatory Instincts

30 Fearie Fire (Feral)

31-32 Savage Fury

33-34 Shredding Attacks

35-39 Heart of the Wild

40 Leader of the Pack

41-42 Improved Leader of the Pack

43-44 Thick Hide (You can put these 2 where you want them, but I like this)

45-49 Predatory Instincts

50 Mangle
Resto tree:

51-55 Furor

56-60 Naturalist

61 Omen of clarity

62 Nature's Grasp
Fillers

63-65 Survival of the Fittest

66 Feral Charge

67 Last point in Thick hide

68-70 Primal Tenacity

It's optional to go into the resto tree first, because some people want furor, naturalist, and omen of clarity. I highly recommend going into feral first because Feral Swiftness makes you go 30% faster, and this will save you tons of travel time. If you insist on going into the resto tree early, go feral until level 30, then respec getting your resto talents, then continuing into the feral tree. This is a good idea because you'll still get extra run speed 20-30, and now you have travel form.

1-10 is horrid. I'll just say that now. It's even worse if you're a night elf, because their starting area sucks, and druids have only caster form. 10-20 is pretty bad, but not nearly as bad as 1-10, and after you get cat form you'll kill things MUCH faster, and you'll run faster. So level your druid to 20 before you give up on him.

If you really want to go resto, don't. It's not very good for leveling. Balance is ok, but wait until level 40 if you really want to because you'll get moonkin form, a mount, and innervate.

Balance build at 40:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?50032201250311500100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Balance at 70:

Gearing your druid

The stats you'll want (in this order) are: agility, stamina, strength. You'll also want agility over attack power because of Heart of the Wild.
Important tips
---- Attack rotation ---

1-10: Wrath moonfire, wrath, wrath, etc.

10-20: Maul in bear form. Over, and over, and over.

20-35: Tigers fury *wait for energy to hit 100* ravage. Rake, claw, (keep clawing until you're at 4 combo points), Rip.

36-49: Pounce, faerie fire, shred, rake, claw, rip, claw until 4 combo points and rip.

50+: Pounce, mangle, faerie fire, shred, mangle, rip, mangle until 4 CP and rip.
---- Tauren vs. Night Elves: ---

If you're judging purely on mechanics and not appearance or horde / alliance, keep reading.

Tauren have:

Warstomp

+5% health

+15 Herbalism

Nightelves have:

Shadowmeld

+1% dodge

Wisp Spirit

Warstomp is very useful for getting off that regrowth, or stopping that heal, but shadowmeld allows you to eat + drink safely, and gives a +1 stealth level to your prowl. I would take shadowmeld over this, but then again I don't know warstomp's usefulness because I don't have a tauren over level 10.

+5% health is way better than 1% dodge imo. Not much to say here.

If you want to be a herbalist, then the +15 is better, if not, then the wisp spirit is better.

It's pretty close for me, but Shadowmeld is very useful, and will be used with any spec, and an extra stealth level allows you to be more sneaky. For appearance, I think NEs have better looking forms. I guess the deciding factor is if I would want to play horde or alliance, since they are so similar.
---- Professions ----

Mining + Engineering

Herbalism + Alchemy

Skinning + Leatherworking

Pick your professions as early as possible. If you are 100% certain you are going to be Balance or Restoration, you can go Tailoring + Enchanting, but if you ever go feral, it will be nearly useless (except for Enchanting). I would recommend going Skinning and Leatherworking because it's easy to level, has low maitenance, and has gear that's good for Feral especially, but also Restoration, and has some ok gear for Balance.

Mining and Engineering are much more difficult to level, but if you plan on getting to 70, engineering can craft some very good devices.

I've never been an alchemist, so I can't really discuss that.

I'll add some more stuff when I get to it eventually.

---- Bear Form (Level 10) ---

You can finally get your first form! Go to the druid trainer in either Darnassus or Thunderbluff to get started on the quest. Go here for the quest chain, and places with coordinates.

Alliance: http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=5923

Horde: http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=5926
---- Aquatic Form (Level 16) ---

Talk to your druid trainer in either Darnassus or Thunderbluff for more details.

Gearing your priest

1-58

stack as much spirit as possible. Combined with spirit tap and the ability to shield/heal yourself, you should never have any downtime between single controlled fights EVER. Secondary stats include stamina and int with no priority of either over the other. Also try to keep your wand up to date with as much DPS as possible.

58-70

stack as much spell damage as possible with some extra interest in stamina (outlands is a bit nasty). Don't worry about int as much at this point because the more damage you do = the more mana returned through vamp touch. This means spell damage is better than spirit, but still try to retain a reasonable amount of spirit. Wands do not matter as much at this point so try to get best-stat wands.
Important tips

---- Killing Technique ---

Depending on the mob's toughness (caster, normal, or tank) you want a few different rotations.
High hp/tough mobs
shield prior to pull

Vamp Touch

mind blast

SWP

flay til low (<10%)

SWD

Standard mobs
shield prior to pull

vamp touch

SWP

flay til low (<15%)

SWD

Caster mobs
shield prior to pull

vamp touch

mind blast

*silence as needed

flay til low (<20%)

SWD

In case of adds, psychic scream. Remember, you can always drop shadowform any time you want to heal yourself. Also keep up fort/inner fire buffs at all times. You can time your inner focus cooldown to eat up a fort rebuff.

--------------------------- Rogue
Talent Choices

You talent tree evolution should look like this (Keep in mind we will be doing this with SWORDS):
Level 11 Talents
Level 22 Talents
Level 31 Talents
Level 39 Talents
At 40 you respec to this build
Level 51 Talents
Level 59 Talents

After that, pick up two of the 2-point toys (improved Sprint, Endurance, improved Kick) if you haven’t already (might have imp. Sprint already to break out of roots), then 5/5 Combat Potency, than 1/1 Surprise Attacks.
Gearing your Rogue

Agility > Stamina is the general rule, although strength/crit doesn't hurt if it's really MUCH higher than the +stam

The combat build is generally used with swords while leveling (It's better than fists due to there being a bigger selection of them).
Weapons you should get:

Level 18: Cruel Barb or Scout's Blade (WSG)

High 20s: The Butcher, Zealot Blade

Early 30s: Jade Serpentblade

Level 40: Vanquisher Sword + Sword of Omen / Sword of Serenity

Level 48: Thrash Blade

Level 58: Head to Outlands and find something there, it’s better than whatever you’ll have
Important tips

--------------------------- Shaman
Talent Choices

Level 10: You first get your talent trees. They seem exciting and scary at the same time. What do you do with these strange trees? What talent spec do you choose?

Here are your options: Elemental, Enhancement and Restoration. First, if you are leveling your shaman to be a healer, do not level it restoration. Restoration is absolutely horrible for leveling unless you plan on having at least one person helping you. The restoration tree has some nice goodies, but it is designed for end-game healing and not for leveling.

So, that leaves two other trees for leveling: Elemental and Enhancement.

Enhancement is likely the more popular talent spec for leveling. Enhancement is a melee Shaman that specializes in hitting people up close in their face. So, if you like melee, up close and personal, then Enhancement is for you.

Elemental is nice for people who like spell-casting hybrids. While leveling, you are likely to still melee some, and you can’t really keep mobs at range. However, you like doing spell damage using your shock spells and lightning bolts, and if you get the chance in a group, you like to stand back farther casting from behind. If you like more ranged spell damage, then elemental is for you.

Keep in mind that talents are really a place for you to invest in the spells and abilities that you use the most. So, what you find as the best spec for you may be completely different from what I suggest here. Feel free to comment, as I take player suggestions seriously. However, this is what I found to work the best through my experiences.
Elemental Talent Spec (Or... So you want to be a caster)

Some argue enhancement is better and faster for Shaman. So, you can skip over this part if you have no interest in being elemental. However, I leveled my shaman this way, so I feel confident that it is possible (and rather easy) to level an elemental shaman. Others also argue that the early points in elemental end up being better at lower levels.
Level 10-14: Convection:

Reduces the mana cost of your shocks, lightning bolt, & chain-lightning spells. This is useful since at low levels you don’t have much mana. This gives you less downtime between killing things. I am a big fan of talents that reduce mana costs.
Level 15-19: Concussion:

Increases damage done for your shocks, lightning bolt, & chain lightning spells. This is nice since more damage means you kill things faster.
Level 20: Elemental focus:

Reduced mana cost after a critical spell. This helps give you more mana and is very useful in combination with other talents in the tree.
Level 21-25: Reverberation:

Reduces the cooldown of your shock spells. This helps you be able to use your shock spells faster, which means you do more damage. I mean, you did create a Shaman to be able to frost shock people, right? Just kidding! A lot of talent builds skip this talent, but I use my shock spells all the time, so why not make it useable faster? This may be less useful at high levels, but I find it very important for the way I level.
Level 26-30: Call of Thunder:

Increases your chance to get a critical strike with Lightning bolt and chain lightning. Since lightning bolt is your primary damage spell, this increased crit chance is important, and it unlocks a talent you will need later.
Level 31: Elemental Fury:

Increases damage done when you get a critical strike. Basically, instead of doing the typical 150% damage on a crit, it increases your damage to 200% of your normal (non-crit) damage. What the talent says is somewhat confusing, but it basically means your crits will now do twice your normal spell damage. (so a 500 damage spell now crits for 1000 instead of 750).

Level 32-34: Eye of the storm:

When you suffer a critical hit, you can cast without being interrupted for a few seconds. I find this useful for getting off heals or lightning bolts when I’m getting hit a lot when soloing. This may be less useful at high levels, but it is good for leveling.
Level 35-39: Lightning Mastery:

Reduces the casting time of your lightning bolt & chain lightning spells. Since you cast lightning bolt all the time, having a shorter casting time means it does more damage.
Level 40: Elemental Mastery:

When you cast this spell, your next spell costs no mana and has a 100% chance to crit. I love this spell, and I frequently use it when I get low on mana and the fight isn’t over yet. This has saved my life many times.
Level 41-43: Elemental Precision:

Increases your chance to hit with fire, frost, and nature spells. Having a higher hit percentage means you will miss fewer spells allowing you to kill things faster. There is nothing worse than dieing because you missed your damage spell.
Level 44: One point in Unrelenting storm:

Basically, you have to spend one point to be able to unlock the next talent, and I (personally) will go back and fill this in more later. You can put this one point in pretty much any other talent you want in this tree to unlock the next talent.
Level 45-49: Lightning Overload

When you cast your lightning bolt or chain lightning spell, you have a 20% chance of doing twice the damage (casting a 2nd spell of the same type for no extra damage). Basically, this is a nice extra bonus of doing extra damage randomly.
Level 50: Totem of Wrath

Gives you a fire totem that increases your spell hit and crit chance by 3% each.
This is what your build would look like at level 50: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hE0zEc0kAot

Level 51: At this point, you have picked up all the talents I consider to be important in that tree. You have several options.

Option one: Fill out Unrelenting storm to increase your in-combat mana regen.

Option two: Invest 5 points in Enhancement to pick up Ancestral Knowledge (increase your maximum mana by 5%). You can skip this talent if you want to put more points in restoration.

Option three: Going straight into the restoration tree and pick up 20 points.

Improved Healing Wave: Reduces the casting time of your healing wave spell. This will make it easier for you to heal yourself as you are leveling.

Totemic Focus: Reduces the mana cost of your totems. Lower mana cost means that you have more mana left for doing real damage.

Totemic Mastery: Increases the range of your totems. There is nothing worse than running out of range of your totems all the time.

Nature’s Guidance: Increases your spell and melee hit chance. More hits means more damage, and you will be able to skip this stat on your gear for the most part if you have a ton of +hit from talents.

Tidal mastery: Increases the critical hit chance of your healing and lightning spells. So, lightning bolt and chain lightning have a higher crit chance. This is a nice talent if you go this far in the tree.

For PvP, ancestral healing or Healing focus may give you more survivability. You can switch out Nature’s Guidance or totemic focus if you are focusing on PvP instead of PvE, since you may need survivability talents more.

Here is what your build would look like at 70:

41/0/20
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hE0zEc0kAotZx0ek0x

If you really like Nature’s Swiftness, you can also go 40/0/21 with the same basic build.

40/0/21
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hE0zy0MqqoxZx0ek0xo

45/5/11
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hE0zEc0qAotxZx0xz

42/0/19
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hE0zE00qAotZx0ek0L

45/0/16
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hE0zEc0qAotZx0ed
Enhancement Spec (or... so you want to do melee damage)

People call this the more efficient leveling spec. It is still a melee/casting hybrid, however the emphasis is more on the melee and less on the casting. You care more about having high weapon DPS, strength, and agility to do lots of damage and have lots of big critical strikes. The following is where you can invest your talent points to increase your melee damage and make leveling more fun.

10-14: Ancestral knowledge

Increases your maximum mana by 5%. A lot of builds take Shield specialization instead, but even as a melee shaman, having mana is important. If you are going to dual wield later on, you won’t have a shield, anyway.
15-19: Thundering Strikes

Increases your critical strike chance by 5%. Having extra crit is good, and it unlocks a talent you will need later.
20-21: Improved Ghost Wolf.

Reduces the casting time of your ghost wolf spell by 2 seconds. This will be the best way to get around until level 40 when you get your mount, so this talent will be really handy at least until you are 40.
22: Shamanistic Focus

After you crit in melee, your next shock spell has a reduced mana cost. This is nice for being able to throw out extra damage along with interrupts and slowing effects for less mana.
23-24: Improved Lightning Shield (2 points)

Increases damage done by your lightning shield orbs by 15%. You can put points somewhere else, but you have to spend two points to unlock the next tier in the tree.
25-29: Flurry

After you get a critical strike, your attack speed is faster for the next 3 swings. This goes nicely with the talent increasing your critical strike chance.
30: Spirit Weapons.

Gives you a chance to parry attacks and reduces threat generated by melee. Parry is an ability like dodge and block that prevents you from taking some damage.
31-33: Elemental Weapons

Increases damage done by your rockbiter, windfury, flametongue, & frostband weapon buffs.
34: One point Improved Lightning Shield

You have to spend one point to unlock the next tier. You can spend this maxing out imp. Lightning shield, or if you skipped that talent, put it wherever you want.
35-39: Weapon Mastery

Increases damage done with weapons by 10%. More damage is always better.

40: Dual wield!

Finally, you can hack and slash your opponents by equipping a weapon (instead of a shield) in your off-hand.

41-43: Dual Wield Specialization

Increases your chance to hit while dual wielding. You really need this talent since missing all the time is really not fun.
44: Stormstrike

Instantly attack with both weapons. Increases nature damage done by the next two spells cast on that target in 12 seconds.

45-47: Mental Quickness

Reduces mana cost of instant cast spells, and increases spell damage based off your attack power. Now, you may think “but I don’t cast spells!” However, if that were true you would be a warrior. You should be using your shock spells to do additional damage, interrupt casters, and slow movement speeds. Reducing the mana cost and increasing their damage is good.
48-49: Unleashed Rage (2 points)

Increased mele attack power buff for the group after you get a critical strike. This is a nice bonus for everyone in your party if you instance a lot, and is still nice when you are solo.

50: Shamanistic rage

Reduces damage done to you and gives you a chance to regenerate mana. This helps you a lot, so you should pick it up before you go back and finish...
51-53 Unleashed Rage

It's better to pick up SR at 50 and then come back to finish up this talent. )

This is what your level 53 spec would look like:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hZxVfzV0sAuqo

At this point, you should move on to the restoration tree and pick up a few talents over there:

Improved healing wave

Totemic Focus

Totemic Mastery

Nature's Guidance

& a few points in Healing Focus

This is what your build would look like at 70:

Gearing your shaman

If you went enhancement just go for strength and agility. (Stamina is always nice too)
Elemental Gear:

A big complaint I have seen on the Shaman forum is that there isn’t any gear for elemental leveling before level 60. So, here is the intellect and Spell damage mail (some just has one or the other) that I have found between level 40 & 55. I am including some pre-40 items since it should be okay to wear a level 35 item at level 40 until you can find something better.

These are the green and blue quality items. Some items are craftable by leatherworkers and blacksmiths. The drops come from instances or world BOE drops. I am not including PvP gear here, since this isn’t a complete list of items available to Shaman, but just a starting point. You can do searches yourself on any number of websites to find more. It is also completely acceptable to wear leather after 40.

For elemental shaman before level 40, I suggest you look for the items listed in the balance druid leveling sticky. Some of the gear there is cloth, but pre-40, you should basically be wearing the same thing as a balance druid. Some of the post-40 leather may be useful, too. There is a low level feral gear section that enhancement Shaman could use pre-40:

Your guide is handy but Druid is wrong, its Strength, Agil, Stam

Strength is 2:1 Attack Power, Agil is 1:1 but does add a tiny bit of crit

I'd like to thank those who have enjoyed my somewhat complete guide and a lot of the PM's have been unable to answered due to a massive change in my day-to-day schedule, along with the release of Sunwell - time is limited.

I am searching for someone who is interested in helping me finish up the last few classes.

If you have a mic, ventrilo, Email, and or MSN please send me a PM.

I expect someone who is knowledgeable and is willing to help me finish this.

I have the basic set up of each class complete, just need to do some fill ins.

Thank you!

--------------------------- Hunter
Talent Choices

Hands down currently, Beast Mastery is the current most effective, reliable and cookie cutter spec in the game for PvE, and Leveling. It is still effective in PvP but not as great as marksmanship.

10-14 Lethal Shots

15-19 Improved Aspect of the Hawk

20-21 Focused Aim

22-26 Efficiency

27-29 Thick Hide

30-34 Ferocity

35-36 Rapid Killing

37- 41 Unleashed Fury

42-42 Intimidation

At this point your build should be looking like [http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cxbh0xxoZVV0M]this[/url]

43- 44 Spiritbond

45- 46 Bestial Discipline

47-51 Frenzy

52-52 b******l Wrath (Use EVERY COOLDOWN!)

53-55 Ferocious Inspiration

56 -57 Animal Handler

58- 62 Serpent Swiftness

63-63 The Beast Within

64-64 Aimed Shot

65-66 Go for the Throat

67-70 Mortal Shots.

Final build should look something like
this

The most efficient personal DPS raid build is currently
this.
Gearing your Hunter

During the early stages of leveling 0-20, you will really want to rely on Agility as there is not many +ATP items out there. Not to mention, and always remember this: Attack power does NOT scale with you're pet. Agility DOES!.

There is no solid point of atp / agi you can have, stack as much as you can! Agility to ATP 1:1, but if you do receive and +% to stats, Agility is effected, thus making it greater in the long run than ATP.

Critical Strike Rating (CSR) is a main source of any damage class, it is the secondary focus of your stats. The more CSR, the faster the mob dies.

1 Agility: 2 Armor; 1 AP; 0.025% Crit; 0.04% Dodge

Total Agility: Crit% = (0.025 * TotalAgility) - 1.56

1 Stamina: 10 HP

1 Intellect: 15 Mana

Crit Rating: 22.1 CR = 1% Crit

Crit Percent: 1% Crit ~ 1.03% DPS (with 5/5Mortal Shots)

Hit Rating: 15.77 HR = 1% Hit

Hit Percent: 1% Hit ~ 0.9% DPS (After full Calc)

Hit Cap: 142 Standard - 95 w/ Sure Footed

Gear Comp. Value: 2 AP ~ 1 Agi ~ 1 CR (Adjust for Spec)

Pet TP: TrainingPoints = (Loyalty - 1) * Level
Pet Tips / Important Tips

~~~~~----Training you're pet.~~~~~----
PET TRAINING POINTS
1 . What are “Training Points?
Pets can learn different skills and abilities (some more than others) and different ranks of skills and abilities. For example, all wolves can learn the special skill “Furious Howl” and there are 4 ranks of furious howl available in the game for your pet to learn. What skill(s) your pet can learn and what rank of those skills he can learn depend upon:
1) The skill and its rank (for example, your pet must be level 30 to learn the pet skill “Dash, Rank 1” but be level 50 to learn “Dash, rank 3”);
2) The type of pet (for example, Owls cannot learn “Dash” but cats & wolves can); and most importantly for this section
3) The number of Training Points (TP) your pet has available (for example “Dash, Rank 1” might cost 15 TP whereas “Dash, Rank 3” might cost 25 TP)
Note: The pet skill "Growl" is trainable to all pets and is free of any TP cost, though pet level vs skill rank is still an issue
Once you have determined, therefore, that your pet can learn a certain skill (more on skills later) and what rank of that skill it can learn, you must determine if your pet has enough TP available to learn it. You need to note at this point that after about level 35 or so you will not have enough TP available to you to train your pet in the max rank of all the skills he can know, you will have to pick and choose which skills you want your pet to know and/or what ranks of skills. This results in your having to engage in a trade off; do you want more armor or a higher rank of “Bite” etc. Luckily, the cost to untrain and retrain a pet is small, 10 silver, the first time you do it in any 24 hour period. If you always wait at least 24 hours between the time you untrain and retrain a pet it will only cost you 10s each time. This makes it possible and practical to “reconfigure” your pet on a regular basis to match your needs in the game.
2. So how do you calculate TP?
The basic formula for calculating training points is: TP = (Loyalty Level – 1) * Exp. Level. So, for example, if I have a level 30 pet at loyalty level 5 he will have a total of 120 TP (120 = (5-1) * 30) . When that same pet hits loyalty level 6, I’ll get an instant 30 TP boost and jump to 150 TP available for use (150 = (6-1) * 30) . However, when the pet then levels up to level 31, I’ll only get a 5 TP boost for a total of 155 TP (155 = (6 -1) * 31) People often get confused when they see a pet gain TP at a rate of 50 or 60 a pop and then suddenly it slows to only 5 a pop. This is why this happens . They are seeing huge gains from the initial loyalty level going up, but only small gains from the pet’s experience level increasing
3 Well why did my pet come with negative training points?
As noted above, pets learn skills and those skills cost TP. Some pets that you tame, however, come with skills already known. You might, for example, tame a mountain lion that already knows the skill “Prowl, Rank 1.” Well, “Prowl, rank 1” is a pet skill that costs TP to learn and teach to a pet. When you tame a pet that already has a skill, the TP cost of that skill shows up as part of his TP when he is tamed. For example, if you tame a pet that has no skills at all, when he is first tamed you’ll have -0- TP (0 = (1-1) * 30 [or whatever level the pet is]). On the other hand, if you tame a pet that knows a skill that costs, say 15 TP, upon first taming the pet it will have -15 TP. He starts with -0- TP and then loses 15 due to the cost of the skill he already knows. A pet with several skills or a high rank of a skill might have a large number of negative points . As the pet gains loyalty though, it will gain TP in accordance with the formula, but will reflect the TP cost of the known skill in the number of available TP that show up in your pet’s character sheet window. So, for example, if I tame a level 30 pet that has a skill already that costs 15 TP when I first get him, he’ll have a -15 TP. When he hits loyalty level 2 though he’ll have 15 TP available (15 = ((2 – 1) * 30) – 15) . At loyalty level 3 he’ll have 45 TP available (45 = ((3 – 1) * 30) – 15) and so on.
To see how many TP your pet has available for use just right click on his portrait under yours and then open his character sheet imo. You can also open your spell book and click on the general tab and then click on the “pet training” icon (it looks like a sling shot) and see how many TP your pet has available for use (more on the rest of the window that opens when you do this later) .
People commonly ask if they should “save” their training points or if taming a low level pet and raising it up to a higher level will give them more training points that taming a high level pet. The answer is “no.” The formula is the same no matter when you tame your pet. A pet leveled from 8 to 70 and a pet trained at 70 will both (at max loyalty level) have a total of 350 TP available. That’s all there is to TP . Next comes the big issue, how do you use them to train a pet in the various skills he can learn.
~~~~~----Killing a mob~~~~~----

I generally always have my pet on passive (helps for unwanted aggro pops.)

All mobs I treat the same generally.

Send pet in.

Pop any cool downs.

Use your shot rotation. I generally just button mash while farming and killing mobs. (Arcane/Multi/Steady/Auto/Arcane/Steady rotation)

Fiegn death 2 yards before the mob gets to you if you pull threat from you're pet.

I used Hawk all the way to level 70, viper only used during intense farming (Chain pulling mobs in Nagrand.)

Avoid having cheetah / pack on during farming, unless you are certain to take it off. A daze could kill you if you don't have FD or many cool downs up.
Professions.

There are many professions you can take up, if you feel you will not be raiding end game content, I would high suggest:

Leather working / Skinning.

Leather Working / Herbalism is good to if you have the income to still level up Leather working.

I feel the strongest end game raiding with no issues of personal incom of gold is currently:

Leather working / Enchanting.

Drums of battle, and +4 stats to each ring is a large increase on you're damage / parties damage.
