After I workout, I get this tingling sensation in my fingertips and my nose/upper lip. It only seems to be right at the end of the workout and only in those areas.
Some people told me it's cause your testosterone levels go way way down towards the end of a workout and that is how my body reacts to it. Other people say it could be a result of my car accident (November last year).
Anyone have any ideas/experiences? Should I make an appointment with a neurologist?
Thanks in advance...

I would go to the docter for sure either way. Sometimes the things you recognize and don't bother checking out can be the worst. Awhile back I was getting tingling/dizziness in my head after sitting for more then an hour at a time. Turns out I wasn't eating enough and when I got up my blood pressure shot down and it was a warning before fainting. Either way, get it checked out !

Yeah I am pretty sure I am going to see my neurologist as soon as possible. My physical therapist gave me about 10 different things it could be. Either way, better safe than sorry.
Just kind of sucks not knowing what the hell my body is trying to tell me (besides "die")

well, have you just started working out? Is this the first time you've exercised in a long time? Sometimes your body reacts weird if you've been sitting around for along time, and get up and start working out.
Also since the sensations are on your face, when you work out, more blood might be folowing to your head. I wouldn't worry about it, but if your just curious on the real fact on why it's happening, you might wanna see someone.

No I've been working out pretty steadily for about 2 years now, but this is the second week I have had these tingling feelings at the end of my workouts. At first I chalked it up to some protein or mineral I wasn't getting, but this is 4 times in a row now.

That doesnt sound like something that normally should be happening so check it out.
Also how long do you typically work out for?

sounds like you are over oxygenated...dont laugh!
since i assume you know what you are doing and warm up before hand... do you do a cool down after or stop cold?
also watch your breathing! dont hyper ventilate, pay attention to your breathing next time do a cool down session after if the tingle is still going on after go see your doctor.

It's nothing as far as the hands go, might be the same with the nose. After a grueling workout different parts will shake and tingle mildly, especially when you have just begun working out. Roomate had his arm around his new girlfriend one day and his hand just started twitching and he didn't even notice it =p

roommate = finigan?
anyways if you are breathing properly throughout the workout body parts really shouldn't be going to sleep/tingling
plus proper breathing will let you lift heavier loads anyways

And since he just said he hasn't just started working out, this sort of rules this out, no?

you probably jsut have poor circulation in those areas, maybe when you are benching it hurts your blood flow even more gripping the bar, as for the nose same thing with you on your back.

I thought the same thing Themy, but even on leg day it happens. Always at or near the same part of the workout towards the end.
Frax, I haven't had any ear pain or tingling on the sides of my face, just my nose/upper lip area.
I do pay attention to my breathing, and I am aware it's a big part of training, but I could have started to do something wrong. I will pay attention tonight and see if it changes anything.
A pharmacist friend of mine told me it could be electrolytes? I have no idea what that even means, but I'm gunna take some Gatorade tonight and see if that helps as well.
Thanks for the advice all.
