You couldn't possibly have read the article and still think that the court was too harsh in their ruling.
The woman let one of her twins die by neglecting to get a C-section per her doctor's instructions. The twin that did survive was born with alcohol and cocaine in her system.
Do you even have any idea what alcohol and cocaine can do to a developing fetus, before the development of the child's blood-brain barrier? The woman should have had her ovaries confiscated.

Mentally ill woman smokes cocaine and drinks alcohol while pregnant, fetus dies. She never should have been charged with capital murder, give me a break lol. She should have gotten prison time for f*****g up her unborn children though. I can't stand pregnant women that won't put down the bottle or the pipe, or cigarettes for that matter.

I think Abi was saying the courts shouldn't have given her so much leniency... at least that's how I interpreted it...
Her comment made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up where she said that "You shouldn't be charged with capital murder for not following doctor's orders" or along those lines.
Maybe if she wasn't a cokehead this wouldn't have happened.
Oh well, her kids would have probably been rejects too, apples don't fall far from the tree.

try using a clean solid such as a "towel" when bathing Paco. I know this is highly technicaly terminology for you, and I know oil isn't water soluble and this can present difficulties when attempting to scrub corn oil out of ones pours, but if you try really hard I'm sure you can get it done.

If you read all the other information on her, she has been institutionalized/medicated multiple times, and she's still a f*****g reject.
And I've never heard of anything like O.C.T.D. (Obsessive Crack Taking Disorder), I don't think her mental situation had anything to do with her snorting coke like the Tool that she is.

Yeppers. Just this is enough to justify jail time.
What I see wrong here is that she did drugs when she knows that drugs can severely affect/kill a fetus/baby. No good mother would ever put their children in danger like that. If one or both would have survived, they should have been taken away for adoption and put her in a rehab clinic and mental institution.

No actually... I had a completely different reason for posting this...
I was trying to prove a point. One which I am suprised no one picked up on. Everyone knows I am a pretty far right wing conservative, yet I posted this taking up the extreme left's position. That being..
It's a womans body to do with as she wishes
The courts shouldn't infringe upon her right to treat her body as she wants
I expected the hardcore liberal aclu supporters to come in here touting their "constitutional rights" and acting suprised that I agree with them.. I find it interesting that no one did that. How can you call yourselves liberals.. you're a disgrace to your party!!!

Alcohol abuse during pregnancy=fetal alcohol syndrome=#1 cause of mental retardation...
She's a psycho--anyone hospitalized from the age of 12 has a VERY poor prognosis for making it in life in any semblance of a normal fashion. The fact that she used drugs is not surprising--many mentally ill people self-medicate (diagnosis=MICA/Mentally Ill/Chemically Addicted). I worked on an admissions ward for these people in a NYS psychiatric center...believe me, they do NOT ever get better 
There is no such disorder as OCTD...it is not listed in the DSM IV TR and, therefore, likely not recognized as a "real" disorder...if anything, it's a disorder that could be characterized as coming from poor impulse control but it really should just be classified as Substance Abuse Disorder or Substance Dependence Disorder...
