Stress test.... for those who sold your beta accounts... congrats they are worth shit now..
It only is for 7 days but you know people... they'll sell those account keys to idiots who think they are real beta accounts.

True stress testing is OPEN BETA. f*****g open beta, and you'll draw in more costumers.

Well, no they wont. SoE is a prime example of making an addictive MMORPG, or as they call them now adays, MMO's due to lack of role playing done by characters or features introduced into the game. EQ lore, has been one of the best backgrounds into the game I have seen yet in a video game. It just lacks the place for people to role play it.

Err, I am going off on a pointless tangent. But yeah, Blizzard is so f*****g amazing when it comes to patches. Why can't they just stress test with an open beta? They are Blizzard for christs sake, they can surely defeat a little stress test, in turn, releasing the game, in turn, getting more subscribers, IN TURN, making more money.

Actually this is a smart plan for Blizzard. I can't think of a singleMMOG that wasn't plagued by networking and hardware issues the first few days after release. They are going to try and sort it out a few months beforehand, imagine that.

Total Annihilation > Starcraft and by time WC3 came out the genre was already turned to shit.

I dont understand this stress test either as i thought the stress test was open beta. However the more I think about it the mmorpg's i have been in open beta for they dont do hardly anything in terms of patching during open beta as it seems more like a demo of the game to get ppl hooked on it.

It is only for 7 days, which at the end of those 7 days you no longer get to play and have to wait all over again.

You still have open beta whenever they get around to it.

If I had paid $16 for 7 days of SWG I would have saved myself:

(($49+6% tax + $13.95 or whatever the monthly fee was) - $16)

It's pretty easy to know a game is a piece of shit in a couple days.

I signed me and my wife up without joining fileplanet. It said we were accepted and I am awaiting the s****y public server downloads now on both cpus.


They also have some lower priced stuff going on, saw a half priced deal on there for 7.95, if you click off of wanting to pay. They also have a free trial deal also, but I always forget to cancel those things, and end up paying.

Kind wish I would of done it though, so I didnt have to wait for the downloads forever.

and by the way you people who are b******g about all this shit, make a private server...they have them out already where people are hosting their own servers and playing privately. I'm sure some of you smart people with server hosting skills can figure out how to make your own server and host it for everyone on realpoor, go to work my little munchkins.
