how lame....is there a need for one? no. They are already milking the franchise with Star Craft Ghost...now they are thinking about turning it into an MMORPG?
They should have a Diablo MMORPG too tehehe!!!!

Would be cool to see a starcraft MMORPG, but honestly I'd prefer that they bring out Starcraft 2 and have it play like the original. It was great RTS and don't see why they never brought out more expansions for it or made a whole new RTS from it.

Come on, did anybody ever think before WoW was ever concieved that Blizzard would EVER make an MMORPG out of Warcraft? People don't like their genres switched on them. I'll have to agree though that I would rather see Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 (yea, if Blizzard hires 500 more programming slaves), or better yet, it would be nice if they would actually get Starcraft Ghost out. I've been working at Gamestop for a while and I've seen that one change almost as much as Gran Turismo 2 or Warcraft 3 (6 or 7 release dates I think?).
You have to admit though, with all of the people that leaped at the chance to play WoW, you'd think with all of the old Starcraft fans, they would make enormous amounts of money off the game. I mean, I still play Starcraft every once in a while and the game's been out for years.

It would be a marketing disaster for bilzzard produced a product that competed with WoW. It won't happen.
There's a reason they never released new versions of starcraft and warcraft concurrently.

No it wouldn't. Not everyone who plays starcraft played Warcraft and vice versa....

Even if it was in the planning stages, it would most likely be years before it was released. Blizzard games are in development a loooooong time.

If you could use your WoW account for WoS for like 2 or 3 extra dollars a month I think that a LOT of people would play both. I full-heartedly agree though that Blizzard desperately needs to upgrade their hardware. Seeing as how Blizzard, with all of its non-MMO online game glory from Battle.net (sort of), has never put out an MMO before, they are doing a sufficient job of maintaining it.

Yea, they need to do some serious server hardware upgrading or get a ton more bandwidth. I still play EQ2 a little before it runs out at the end of this month, I don't lag lin EQ2 or even in EQ1(don't go over 250 ping usually). But with WoW, ALL servers I stay above 500 ping, even on the low populated east coast servers.

My server doesn't have any queue lines, nor does it go down everyday. That's probably because I picked the one with a low population when the game came out, like all the developers suggested?
