Windows lost file fragment question (how to get em back)

After the recent crashink ob da ubersystem i managed to get it back up and reinstalled windows XP pro on it.
After i was done doing that one of my drives where i keep my movies contracted something odd

The directory where the movies were held was fine, but as soon as i entered it i got many...many...many lines of weird characters and text were found.
This offcourse reminds me of a bad file allocation table which makes sense if windows crashed while accesing the disc.

Anyhow, under MS-DOS the files were accesable even the directories they were stored in. So, i as the stupid f**k i am, did a chkdsk all the f****d up dirs under windows were converted to "file00000.chk"'s.
They are as far as i can see the movies that were on the disk (by their filesizes), and the directories they were in.

Question, how can i get them back without having to open each one and guessing what file it is
