I'm not sure on any differences but Media Center is pretty sweet.

i never looked at MCE really .. the only difference I've heard of is the ability to stream video to different devices made to work with it ..
but i really don't care about that since my modded xbox is probably 10X better and 1/2 the price of any system designed for that

Even tho it says HD card you can't really get HD except OTA stuff. I was looking at MyHd cards and it says plain as day that there is nothing in modern times that can be inputted to a computer for HD. Now there are cards i think that scale it because all the inputs are generally S-video or coax.. Still going to do it cuz my new TV has native resolution of 1920x1080 and god damn it looks sweet as a computer monitor. I want freeVo!
MCE comes with a new type interface from what i've seen that make it more tv friendly, think of MCE as XP pro but with all the bells and whistles, a sorta souped up version of it is what i have read everywhere. I personally have played with it for like 20 minutes and it was pretty good for TV, it was on a EDTV Plasma. I am going to download it i think and try to see what i can do with it.
